BAM sees strong further growth in residential, new energy markets and renovations towards 2030. With BAM’s scale and scope it is well positioned to serve these larger societal challenges. BAM targets leading positions in markets that are in line with its strengths and sustainability purpose. This will be done through expanding existing capabilities. A key initiative in both divisions is growing the presence in markets for energy solutions, including grids.
We will seek opportunities for expansion, such as growing in energy markets, and capturing the demand for renovation and retrofitting. With our size and scale, we are well positioned to provide solutions to these societal challenges.
We are excellently positioned to be a market leader in renovation and retrofitting. With our client Havensteder, we have made approximately 1,100 homes per year more sustainable and improved in Rotterdam and surrounding areas. One project contributing to this is the renovation of Bospolder-Tussendijken. The renovation resulted in Bospolder-Tussendijken being one of the first natural gas-free neighbourhoods in the municipality of Rotterdam.
Our expertise in renovation and retrofitting is not limited to houses but can also be used for offices, reducing the use of virgin materials and supporting circularity. Here, we have a range of high-profile success cases working as proof points for our capabilities, such as the Bullring façade of the Selfridges in Birmingham.
The energy transition required to counter climate change can only be done by upgrading the energy grid. We have strong expertise and client relations to help grid operators and switch society to renewable energy.
