Bunnik, the Netherlands, 16 February 2018 – The Executive Board of BAM PPP bv has appointed Tim Hesketh to the position of Managing Director of BAM PPP UK & Ireland, with effect from 3 April 2018. Tim Hesketh previously held the position of Commercial Director at Hochtief PPP Solutions (UK) Ltd and has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, half of which has been spent within the PPP market, giving him a depth of experience covering numerous accommodation and major infrastructure projects.

Rockspring and Sterling select BAM for 103 Colmore Row

(Press release Rockspring and Sterling:) Birmingham, 12 February, 2018 - The construction of Birmingham’s most anticipated new office development, 103 Colmore Row, has taken a major step forward. Rockspring Property Investment Managers LLP (Rockspring) and Sterling Property Ventures (Sterling), the development team behind Birmingham’s tallest office tower, have selected BAM for the £80 million build contract. The contractor begins site surveys today (12 February), alongside an intense period of pre-construction design. The main substructure works commence in early June, with completion of the 26-storey building set for Q3 2020.

BAM Nuttall creates virtual experience for ICE exhibition

Camberley / London, 8 February 2018 - With the launch of a new 3D virtual walkthrough application, the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is inviting young people and families from across the country to explore the Invisible Superheroes exhibition from wherever they are this half-term. The exhibition features real-life engineers as cartoon superheroes who are battling to save the planet from dangers such as climate change, flooding, and the spread of disease.

Development of Grade A office space at Atlantic Square, Glasgow to start in March for major UK Government hub

Glasgow, 7 February 2018 - BAMTCP Atlantic Square, a joint venture between BAM Properties and TCP Developments, and LGIM Real Assets (Legal & General) have confirmed that work will begin in March 2018 on the development of circa 284,000 sq. ft. of Prime Grade A office space at Atlantic Square in Glasgow, 187,000 sq. ft. of which will house the next UK Government hub, and will be funded by Legal & General Retirement with BAM TCP Atlantic Square funding the remaining 97,000 sq. ft. of speculative space.

£30 million construction scheme brings Preston man ‘back home’

Hemel Hempstead, 29 January 2018 - A former University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) student from Preston has had the unusual distinction of returning to his former place of learning – to help re-build it. Mark Hardisty, now a senior site manager with BAM Construction in Salford, has returned after ten years to work on the first phase of University’s £200 million masterplan, the Engineering Innovation Centre.

(Thessa) Menssen MBA will step down as CFO and member of the Executive Board of the Company effective 1 July 2018. This decision has been reached by mutual agreement as the further implementation of the strategic agenda requires a different fulfillment of the CFO role. BAM’s appointment follows a competitive procurement process. The scheme is funded through the regional priority school building programme of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) which managed the process.

BAM appointed to deliver multipurpose Yas Arena in Abu Dhabi

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 2 January 2018 – Miral Asset Management has appointed BAM International – the operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, active outside Western Europe – to deliver the construction of an arena with a capacity of 18,000 seats. Yas Arena will be used to host events in a temperature controlled environment and is located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Work already started on 17 December 2017 and BAM expects to complete Yas Arena by November 2019.

BAM in joint venture with NCC awarded major Swedish tunnel project

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 19 December 2017 – The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) has selected Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG – the German tunnelling specialist of Royal BAM Group nv –  in joint venture NCC (one of the leading companies in construction, infrastructure and property development in the Nordic region)  to build the 3.2 kilometre long Korsvägen phase of the West Link tunnel project in Gothenburg, Sweden.
