Nuttall and Halcrow form 'Enhance' for Area 11 MAC bid

Edmund Nuttall Ltd and Halcrow have entered into a joint venture partnership to bid for the Highways Agency’s Area 11 Managing Agent Contractor Contract [MAC].

The joint venture will operate under the collective banner of ‘Enhance’, a name which reflects the value-added approach to the format of the contract. The Enhance team has formed a Strategic Alliance with Hanson at the prebid stage to maximise the benefits from the supply chain management in the provision of aggregate and bituminous paving materials.

The Enhance bid team, consisting of Nuttall, Halcrow and Hanson has a long track record of success in serving the Highway Maintenance sector with experience in managing current Area 17 and Area 18 contracts, participation in the Midland Structures Framework and the Construction Management Pilot Scheme in Areas 8, 11 and 12. In addition a term maintenance service was provided on the county roads in Staffordshire and is actively involved in the Pathfinder Project in Stoke on Trent.

Nuttall, Halcrow and Hanson have established multi-disciplined teams operating from a network of regional offices specifically for this scheme in the Midlands. These include specialists in environmental, materials supply and materials technology as well as experienced project management personnel.
