Prestige bank in the heart of Frankfurt fronts onto tropical garden
A more attractive site for a new building in downtown Frankfurt would be hard to imagine. Right next to the main entrance to the city's famous 'Palm Garden', Wayss & Freytag Schlüsselfertigbau is building new office accommodation for Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau. The striking thing about this commercial bank's new offices is the very high standard of finish.
HBG's German building company is realising an extension to the KfW office complex on the site. The contract is worth €25 million. The new building will provide around ten thousand square metres of additional office space on a total of five floors. The extension will be interconnected with the existing offices on each floor. Beneath the new building, there are two basement levels containing an underground car park and technical areas. W&F Schlüsselfertigbau is on course to complete the project as scheduled this summer, despite the hard winter.
