Bunnik, 21 November 2003 – The German tunnelling specialist Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau – a Royal BAM Group operating company – is a partner in the joint venture that has been awarded the contract to build a section of Cologne’s North/South Metro Line. The contract is worth €385 million, with a share in excess of €128 million for W&F Ingenieurbau. The client is Kölner Verkerhrs-Betriebe AG.

Just outside Sur, Oman, Interbeton has started work on the preparations for the design and construction of cooling water systems as part of extra production facilities for liquefied natural gas. The LNG plant expansion project is being undertaken by the Japanese main contractor Chiyoda. The contract value for Interbeton exceeds 18 million US dollars.

John Martin Construction, part of Nuttall, is undertaking the renovation of the dry dock containing the S.S. Great Britain in Bristol. The old wooden seals on the dock gates, which had almost rotted away, have been replaced.

Bunnik, 5 November 2003 - The extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of Koninklijke BAM Groep nv (Royal BAM Group), which took place in Amsterdam this afternoon, has approved the transaction concerning Ballast Ham Dredging (BHD). BHD is to merge with Van Oord ACZ, creating a new dredging company under the name Van Oord.
