Longmont, Colorado, 2 June 2004 – Colorado-based Flatiron Construction Corp. has successfully bid four new projects since April, totaling over $28 million worth of work.

Longmont, CO, 5 May 2004 – Flatiron Constructors, managing joint venture partner of SLC Rail Constructors, won the Design Build Institute of America’s (DBIA) 2004 Design Build in Transportation Award for the construction of Salt Lake City’s University Light Rail Transit Extension.

Longmont, CO, 4 May 2004 - The New Carquinez Suspension (Alfred Zampa Memorial) Bridge, a landmark project for Northern California, won its eighth award - the Associated General Contractors of California (AGC) / Gallagher Construction Services award for Meeting the Challenge of the Difficult Job, Heavy Engineering category. Constructed by Colorado-based Flatiron Construction Corp. through operating companies FCI, Interbeton, and Flatiron Constructors, the bridge is North America's first suspension bridge to be built in over 30 years.

Frankfurt, 16. April 2004 - In ein berauschendes Meer aus Licht, Klang und Farben tauchen Künstler der Luminale das „Oval“ am Baseler Platz. Vom 18. bis zum 22. April verwandelt sich der fast fertig gestellte Neubau des Wohn- und Geschäftshauses in eine Bühne, die zugleich Zuschauerraum ist. Wayss & Freytag Schlüsselfertigbau führt das Bauvorhaben als Generalunternehmer in einer Arbeitsgemeinschaft mit der Firma BauBeCon Hochbau GmbH, Leipzig, aus.

Bunnik, 7 April 2004 – Royal BAM Group announces the early redemption of the entire remaining amount of the 1997 4.75% subordinated bond loan 2004. The loan was originally due to mature on 10 December 2004. As at year-end 2003, the outstanding amount of the loan – which amounted to €38.6 million at the time of issue – was €17.4 million.

Kill, County Kildare, Ireland, 5 April 2004 - The contract for the construction of the Sligo Inner Relief Road was signed on Monday 29 March by County Manager Hubert Kearns and Ascon’s director Bernard Murphy in the presence of the Mayor of Sligo, Ald. Sean MacManus, the Minister for Transport, Seamus Brennan TD, and Minister of State, Jim McDaid TD.
