BAM Betontechnieken (the concrete technology specialist operating in the Netherlands) is participating in a consortium that is applying a fire-resistant coating to one of the High-Speed Line tunnels between Amsterdam and Antwerp. The work will be finished by the end of March 2005.

Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau. BAM’s German engineering company, in a consortium with Züblin is building a new bridge to the west of Rheinfelden to connect the German A861 and Swiss N3 motorways. This so-called ‘cantilever span’ bridge is 211 metres long by 24 metres wide.

Nuttall is writing history in the county of Devon in south-west England. This is where the operating company built the original thirty-kilometre narrow gauge Lynton & Barnstaple Railway around 1895. Almost a hundred years later Nuttall is providing its services free of charge to help restore what has become a significant tourist attraction.

The office will be built over eight floors with underground car park and roof top plant room. Floors are air conditioned and fully fitted out, offering a large open plan layout. The elevations consist of unitised, storey height glazing units fixed without the aid of external scaffolding. The semi-unitised glazing system without scaffold is at the forefront of fixing techniques.
