The Hague, the Netherlands, 29 October 2009 - Tebodin is the first foreign company in China to receive both an 'engineering license class B for chemical engineering' and an 'engineering license class C for buildings'. Now that Tebodin Asia Pacific has obtained these licenses, the Shanghai-based office can execute EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects without the assistance of third parties. Preliminary design packages and detail design packages can be realized as well.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 22 October 2009 – The, in august 2009 reported, project of Ghent University for design, build, finance and maintenance (DBFM) of approximately 650 student apartments and an underground parking, as well as redevelopment of the university restaurant, has reached contractual and financial close. The project Kantienberg has a value of approximately €100 million for BAM.

Hemel Hempstead, Herts, 22 October 2009 - Philip Rowley has been appointed as BAM Construct UK's Director of Health and Safety with immediate effect following the retirement of Frank Garnett. His role covers all the UK construction activities as well as BAM's other businesses such as facilities management and property. Philip Rowley will succeed Frank Garnett in representing BAM at industry level. He has had a distinguished career in construction management having been the overall CIOB Construction Manager of the Year in 1998. He is now one of the CIOB judges for the prestigious awards.

Camberley, Surrey, 16 October 2009 - BAM group companies in the UK picked up a trio of British Construction Industry Awards including the prestigious Prime Minister?s Better Building Award, which went to BAM Construction for the Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College. Congratulations are also in order to the teams at the Dounreay Shaft Isolation project and Liverpool Canal Link who picked up the Civil Engineering and Regeneration Awards.

Bunnik, Niederlande, 9. Oktober 2009 – Der Kanton Bern hat ein Konsortium aus BAM Deutschland AG und Marti Generalunternehmung AG (in Zusammenarbeit mit BAM PPP) als 'Preferred Bidder' für das PPP-Projekt 'Überbauung Zeughausareal Burgdorf' ausgewählt. Die Stadt Burgdorf liegt östlich von Bern im Schweizer Emmental. Das Projekt ist die erste Public-Private-Partnership-Kooperation, die in der Schweiz auf der Grundlage internationaler Projektfinanzierungsstandards realisiert wird. Es umfasst den Abriss ehemaliger Kasernengebäude (Zeughausareal) sowie die Planung, den Neubau, die Finanzierung und die Bewirtschaftung eines neuen Regionalgefängnisses mit 110 Haftplätzen, eines Strasseninspektorats inkl. Werkhof und eines Verwaltungszentrums. Insgesamt erstrecken sich die Gebäude über eine Grundstücksfläche von ca. 30.000 m².

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 9 October 2009 - Canton Berne has appointed BAM Deutschland AG and Marti Generalunternehmung AG (in consortium with BAM PPP) as preferred bidder for its PPP project Zeughausareal Burgdorf. Burgdorf is situated east of Berne in the Emmental, Switzerland. The project is the first Public Private Partnership project in Switzerland which is carried out based on international project finance standards. The project encompasses the demolition of the old buildings, as well as planning, financing, construction and operation of the new 'Zeughausareal'. This will include three planning units, a prison (110 beds), a street inspection office including an operation center and finally an administration center. The total area of the new 'Zeughausareal' is about 30,000 m².
