Gouda, 8 July 2009 - The concrete engineering work on the construction of the BAVIRO waste-to-energy plant for SITA ReEnergy in Roosendaal has reached its high(est) point. Within the space of two weeks, the first phase of the sliding formwork has been raised from -5 meters to almost +35 meters. The BAM Civiel/Von Roll Inova consortium is responsible as the contractor for the complete turn-key erection of the plant.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 24 June 2009 - Tebodin Consultants & Engineers - operating company of Royal BAM Group nv - and the Saudi Arabian company APIC LLC have signed a joint venture agreement to set up a consultancy and engineering company named Tebodin APIC LLC in Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The joint venture is based on 50% shares for both companies.

Gouda, Netherlands, 24 June 2009 - The construction of the Nelson Mandela Bay Multipurpose Stadium in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, has been completed on schedule and has been praised as one of the fastest-built in the world. The stadium, built by a consortium of BAM International and Grinaker-LTA, was the first of the five new 2010 Soccer World Cup stadiums to be opened by FIFA. The stadium was completed with an excellent track record of zero serious injuries or fatalities. Last week an inaugural match was played between the British and Irish Lions and the Southern Kings.

Stuttgart, 10 Juni 2009 - Eine Arbeitsgemeinschaft aus BAM Deutschland AG und Ed. Züblin AG errichtet als Generalunternehmer bis Mai 2011 in Wuppertal-Ronsdorf eine neue Justizvollzugsanstalt (JVA) mit insgesamt 510 Haftplätzen. Auftraggeber des Projektes mit einem Bauvolumen von 124 Mio. Euro ist das nordrhein-westfälische Justizministerium, vertreten durch den Bau- und Liegenschaftsbetrieb NRW Düsseldorf.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 10 June 2009 - Isala Clinics has awarded a contract to the D2B Consortium led by BAM Utiliteitsbouw for the construction of a new hospital in Zwolle, the Netherlands. The construction agreement was recently signed by Marjanne Sint, chairman of the Executive Board of Isala Clinics, and Henk Bol, managing director of BAM Utiliteitsbouw. The construction of the new hospital is valued at approximately €210 million (exclusive of VAT).

Gouda, Netherlands, 3 June 2009 - BAM International has been awarded a contract for the extension of the cooling water settlement basin of the LPG Plant at Zuetina Terminal in Libya. Client is Zuetina Oil Company and the order value is €11.5 million.

Rotterdam, Netherlands, 29 May 2009 – Erasmus MC (the medical centre of Rotterdam University) has awarded the contract for a new hospital complex to a joint venture by BAM Utiliteitsbouw and Ballast Nedam Bouw Special Projects. The turf cutting ceremony will be in autumn. The contract value for this project amounts to 449 million euro. The joint venture expects to complete the building in 2017. The architects are EGM Architecten.

(Press release Koninklijke Vopak N.V.:) Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 28 May 2009 - Koninklijke Vopak N.V. (Royal Vopak) has taken the final investment decision to build and operate a new storage terminal for oil products in the Port of Amsterdam. This new terminal will provide additional storage capacity to meet the growing demand in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region. In the ARA region the Port of Amsterdam plays an important international role as logistical hub for gasoline facilitating product flows between Europe, North America and Asia. As a result of the growing geographical imbalances between supply and demand the new Vopak terminal will offer both existing and new customers an opportunity to strengthen their positions.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 19 May 2009 – The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv has appointed Mr P.G.F Staps chairman of the management of BAM Civiel bv with effect from 1 June 2009. Erik Staps (42) is succeeding Mr W.G. Remmelts, who will remain as a director of BAM Civiel.

Abu Dhabi, 12 May 2009 - Interbeton Abu Dhabi nv LLC has completed the first floor of guestrooms on the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Staybridge Apartments Project, Yas Island, ready for handover to Aldar Properties PJSC. The soft opening date for the Crown Plaza with 428 rooms and Staybridge Apartments with 165 apartments is July 2009.

Bunnik, 21 April 2009 - At the annual general meeting of shareholders of Royal BAM Group in Amsterdam, it was announced that BAM is maintaining its intention to sell its minority interest in Van Oord and expects to resume the negotiations in May 2010.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 9 April 2009 - The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv intends to appoint Mr H. de Pater director of AM Vastgoedontwikkeling bv at Nieuwegein with effect from 1 May 2009. Henri de Pater (43) is currently director of Finance and administration of BAM Woningbouw. This appointment stems from the fact that the present financial director, Mr A. Kanters, has expressed the wish to accept a position elsewhere.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 3 April 2009 - Mr J.W. Carton will resign as director of BAM Materieel to take early retirement with effect from 1 July 2009. He will also step down as director of BAM Grondtechniek. Mr Carton has been employed by the Group, with interruptions, for 36 years. The Executive Board is very grateful to him for his contribution to the success and development of the Group.

Bunnik, Netherlands, 2 April 2009 – Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau – the German tunnel specialist of Royal BAM Group nv – has won a contract (in joint venture with Bilfinger + Berger Ingenieurbau, Max Bögl Bauunternehmung and Bickhardt Bau) for the construction of the Silberberg ('Silver Mountain') tunnel with a length of approximately 7.4 kilometres near Großbreitenbach (Thuringian Forest, Central Germany). The tunnel is part of the new high-speed railway line between Ebensfelde and Erfurt. The total contract value amounts to approximately €220 million, of which more than €60 million for Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau.
