Consortium Celtic Roads group, in which BAM participates (in joint venture with Dragados), is making good progress with the construction of the River Suir bridge as part of the N25 Waterford Bypass. The cablestayed bridge with its 100-metre tall tower will be a landmark structure for Waterford City and surrounding areas.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 23 March 2009 - BAM International bv (the operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, active outside Europe) has been awarded a contract for the design and construction of the fishery harbour in Dikkowita, Sri Lanka, some ten kilometres north of Colombo. Client is the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of Sri Lanka. Royal Haskoning is the Client’s Engineer. The contract value is approximately EUR 44 million. BAM International will start on site this month and completion is to be expected in two years.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 20 March 2009 - Today Royal BAM Group nv has completed the acquisition of the remaining 49% interest in property developer AM, as announced 27 November 2008. BAM has now full ownership of all AM shares. The price which in 2006 was agreed with a consortium of investors for the 49% interest amounted to €49 million excluding any dividend still due for the 2008 financial year and for part of 2009. AM - as an operating company of BAM – will continue to operate in its markets under its own name and identity.

Culemborg, The Netherlands, 6 March 2009 - BAM Infratechniek (the Royal BAM Group infrastructure operating company with, among other things, significant expertise in the design, construction and maintenance of underground telecommunications networks) has reached agreement on acquisition of the shares of the Ravesteyn companies in Lopik, The Netherlands. The transaction is expected to be finalised in the next few weeks.

(Press release of Royal BAM Group nv and Zuidwending VOF:) Bunnik, The Netherlands, 27 February 2009 – BAM has won the contract to build gas installations for the first underground natural gas storage facility in salt caverns in the Netherlands. The project will be implemented near the village of Zuidwending (Veendam municipality) in Groningen province. The natural gas storage facility will be built, operated and maintained on behalf of Gasunie and Nuon by the dedicated joint venture Zuidwending VOF. The contract value amounts to approximately EUR 90 million. Work will start this month and the project is scheduled for completion at the end of 2010.

Bunnik / Breukelen, The Netherlands, 25 February 2009 - Royal BAM Group is to fund basic and applied research on sustainable innovation and development at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. BAM will thus become a leading sponsor of the university's Center for Sustainability (CfS). The sponsorship agreement will be used in part to finance the new BAM Chair in Sustainability, Strategy and Innovation, which will be occupied by professor Gerard Keijzers. Professor Keijzers will be assisted by two research staff.

York / Colindale, London, 20 February 2009 – The University of York has appointed BAM Construction to deliver a £66 million development of new buildings, which will be the centrepiece of the first phase of the University’s expanded campus at Heslington East. The buildings will provide accommodation for four departments – the Department of Theatre, Film & Television, the Department of Computer Science, The York Law School and The York Management School.

Frankfurt, 18 Februar 2009 - Der Anschlag zum Bau des Tunnels Staffelter Berg im Großherzogtum Luxembourg ist im Rahmen einer Feierstunde erfolgt. Eine Arbeitsgemeinschaft unter Führung der Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG, Bereich Süd hat den Auftrag zum Bau des Tunnels Staffelter Berg erhalten. Bauminister Claude Wiseler persönlich nahm den feierlichen den Akt vor. Rund 150 geladene Gäste waren erschienen, um bei dem symbolischen Baubeginn eines der größten Bauprojekte in Luxembourg dabei zu sein.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 16 February 2009 - Betonac and Galère, operating companies of Royal BAM Group, have won a contract for a railway extension project south-east of Brussels. Client is the Belgian rail network manager Infrabel. The contract value amounts to approximately €80 million. Work will start in spring 2009 and is expected to be completed by mid 2012.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 6 February 2009 - The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv intends to appoint Mr B.J. Wierenga director of BAM Utiliteitsbouw bv with effect from 1 March 2009. Jan Wierenga (52) has held several management positions at BAM from 1992 until year-end 2007.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 4 February 2009 - Tebodin bv has acquired the remaining 33% shares in Tebodin EC, Hungary of KON-IN. Through this acquisition Tebodin has now obtained full ownership of its subsidiary in Hungary. Tebodin EC, Hungary consists of approximately 60 employees within two offices in Budapest and Szeged and had a turnover of approximately € 4 million in 2008.

Bunnik, Netherlands, 30 January 2009 – BAM Techniek bv – the operating company of Royal BAM Group that is active in the Mechanical & Electrical contracting sector – has reached agreement on the acquisition of all the shares of ICT specialist Digacom bv in Nieuw-Vennep, the Netherlands. The shares are currently owned by the management. The transaction is expected to be completed within a few weeks.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 21 January 2009 - BAM Construction has been awarded the first project under Frameworks Scotland, the new construction framework for developing Scottish healthcare. The project is the redevelopment of the Royal Infirmary in Dumfries and Galloway, worth in the region of £100 million.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 20 January 2009 - Tebodin bv has acquired the remaining 50% shares in Tebodin Asia Pacific from joint venture partner Century Three. Through this acquisition Tebodin has now obtained full ownership of its subsidiary in Shanghai, China. Tebodin Asia Pacific consists of approximately 100 employees and has a turnover of approximately € 4 million.
