(Press release Royal Vopak:) Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 26 October 2011 -

  • Carolien Gehrels, Vice Mayor of Amsterdam; Dertje Meijer, President and CEO of the Port of Amsterdam; and Eelco Hoekstra, Chairman of the Vopak Executive Board, officially open Vopak Terminal Amsterdam Westpoort.
  • The terminal facilitates the growing demand for storage capacity for oil products in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region.
  • The terminal has an initial storage capacity of 620,000 cubic meters and has been delivered on time and within budget. After completion of additional storage capacity of 570,000 cubic meters in phases up to the third quarter of 2012, the storage capacity will increase to nearly 1.2 million cubic meters.

(Press release BAM, Hitachi Zosen Inova and SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT:) Roosendaal, the Netherlands, 14 October 2011 - Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, opened SITA’s ReEnergy waste-to-energy plant in Roosendaal today. He did this alongside Gérard Mestrallet, Chairman and CEO of GDF SUEZ; Christophe Cros, who is responsible for the environment-related activities of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT and is CEO of SITA France; and Adriaan Visser, CEO of SITA Benelux and Germany. The ReEnergy plant is one of the most modern waste-to-energy plants in Europe.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 3 October 2011 - BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside Europe, has together with the Danish contractor Per Aarsleff won an extension for a road contract in Tanzania. The value of the new contract is €38.5 million.
