Arnhem, The Netherlands, 29 May 2012 - The Mariëndaal Centre of Excellence (MCE), which is currently under construction at Arnhems Buiten Business Park, will reach its highest point on Thursday 31 May. The innovative and contemporary new TenneT head office is being constructed by Bouwcombinatie BAM – Giesbers v.o.f. (BAM Utiliteitsbouw and Giesbers-Wijchen Bouw) for the BGB development group (a consortium of BAM Utiliteitsbouw, Giesbers Gebiedsontwikkeling and TCN). The building was designed by GROUP A Architects of Rotterdam and has been sold to PingProperties.

The contractor’s BAM Construction Western team has been awarded a contract to deliver refurbishment and new build work at Marine Academy Plymouth.

The contractor’s BAM Construction Western team has been awarded a £6.5 million design and build contract for a major refurbishment and part new build of Bristol Free School.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 15 May 2012 – The Supervisory Board of Royal BAM Group nv will propose the appointment of Mrs T. Menssen MBA as a member of the Executive Board of the Group with effect from 1 October 2012. This proposal will be submitted to shareholders for approval at an extraordinary general meeting to be convened at Thursday 16 August 2012. Following her appointment, Thessa Menssen will succeed Jan Ruis after a few months as Chief Financial Officer, who is retiring after forty years with the Group.

(Pressemitteilung von ProRail, der niederländischen Bahn und der Gemeinde Arnheim:) Arnheim, 15. Mai 2012 – Der Bau der Bahnhofshalle in Arnheim beginnt im September dieses Jahres. ProRail unterzeichnete am Dienstag, dem 14. Mai, den Vertrag mit der Baukombination Ballast Nedam / BAM. Die künftigen Eigentümer, die niederländische Bahn NS und die Gemeinde Arnheim, reagieren erfreut, dass die Halle voraussichtlich im März 2014 für den Publikumsverkehr freigegeben wird. Die Halle wird einmal Bahnsteige, den Busbahnhof, die Tiefgarage und die Fahrradaufbewahrung miteinander verbinden. Für den Bau wurde ein Betrag von 37,5 Millionen Euro veranschlagt, der vom niederländischen Ministerium für Infrastruktur und Umwelt, der NS (niederländische Bahn), der Gemeinde Arnheim, der Provinz Gelderland und der Stadtregion Arnheim-Nimwegen finanziert wird.

Hemel Hempstead, 14 May 2012 - BAM Construct UK has secured the £10.25 million contract to regenerate Chiltern Hills Academy in Buckinghamshire, which is sponsored by the Oxford Diocese & Buckinghamshire County Council. The contractor will build a new wing for the Chesham academy and carry out significant refurbishment work on its existing estate.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 3 May 2012 – BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside Europe, has signed a service agreement with the Ministry of Northern Kenya and other Arid Lands for the design of the Wajir Habaswein Water Supply Project. The contract value is € 0.5 million. Half of the costs for this development phase are paid by the Facility for Infrastructure Development ORIO (Ontwikkelingsrelevante Infrastructuurontwikkeling), which is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to encourage public infrastructure development in developing countries.
