(Pressemitteilung Fraunhofer-Institut für Keramische Technologien und Systeme, IKTS:) Dresden, 7. August 2012- FuelCell Energy Solutions GmbH, Produzent sauberer, effizienter und zuverlässiger Brennstoffzellen-Kraftwerke, gibt heute den Verkauf eines stationären 250 Kilowatt Brennstoffzellen-Kraftwerkes DFC250-EU® an die BAM Deutschland AG bekannt, das im Neubau des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) in Berlin, unter Beteiligung der Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V., installiert wird. Die FuelCell Energy Solutions GmbH (FCES) wird das Kraftwerk, das voraussichtlich 2014 den Betrieb aufnehmen wird, herstellen und installieren. FCES wird außerdem über einen Zeitraum von zunächst 10 Jahren den Service und Betrieb des Kraftwerks von einer an 365 Tagen im Jahr rund um die Uhr besetzten Service- und Betriebszentrale aus sicherstellen.

(Press release FuelCell Energy, Inc.:) Danbury, Conn., 7 August 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - FuelCell Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:FCEL) a leading manufacturer of ultra-clean, efficient and reliable fuel cell power plants, today announced that FuelCell Energy Solutions, GmbH has sold their first stationary fuel cell power plant, a sub-megawatt DFC250-EU®, to BAM Deutschland AG for installation at the new Federal Ministry of Education and Research government complex in Berlin, Germany. FuelCell Energy Solutions (FCES) will manufacture and install the power plant, which is expected to be operational in 2014. Under a ten year service contract, FCES will service and operate the power plant from a service operations center that is staffed around the clock, 365 days per year.

(Press release Crossrail:) London, 3 August 2012 - Crossrail has taken another step towards the creation of a new 1,500 acre RSPB nature reserve with the completion of a new 180 metre jetty at Wallasea Island in Essex.  The jetty will receive in the order of 4.5 million tonnes of material excavated during Crossrail’s tunnelling operations in London.

(Press release LanAspects / A5 Western Transport Corridor:) Northern Ireland, 31 July 2012 - Regional Development Minister, Danny Kennedy, today announced his decision to proceed with the A5 Western Transport Corridor dual carriageway project. This follows consideration of the Inspector’s Report into the A5 Public Inquiry, which was held last year. The Inspector’s Report and the Department’s Statement on the way forward have now been released. Funding for the two stretches of the A5 project, from New Buildings, Londonderry, to north of Strabane and from south of Omagh to Ballygawley, was announced on 14 February, subject to the outcome of the Public Inquiry.

Hemel Hempstead, 17 July 2012 - BAM Construction North East is to build 112 luxury student flats in Durham for private developer Sophiero. Each of the hi-spec apartments will be unique, and include its own kitchen and bathroom. They will be housed in one four-storey block on Green Lane near the River Wear. Work is due to start on site in late July 2012 and complete in summer 2013, with a total construction cost of about £5 million.

Kill, County Kildare, 11 July 2012 - BAM Rail McCann JV have been award the £16 million contract from Translink to upgrade the railway line between Derry and Coleraine. BAM McCann JV are responsible for the construction of the track relay between Coleraine and Castlerock and Eglinton and Derry. The project will commence on 29 July and run until April 2013.

Hemel Hempstead, 2 July 2011 – One of the UK’s largest contractors, BAM, is to build an Officer Safety Training Centre for Thames Valley Police. BAM Construction South East has been awarded the £4.3 million contract for the facility on the Thames Valley Police principle training facility in Sulhamstead, Berkshire.

Hemel Hempstead, 22 June 2012 - A fascinating scheme in East Ham will help regenerate the area, and brings back together BAM and architects Rick Mather. BAM Construction’s London team is to build a customer service centre and library building for Newham Council in East London. The construction company will provide the £12 million facility as part of a wide-ranging regeneration scheme of the Town Hall Campus for the local authority.

Bunnik, 19 June 2012 – BAM Civil Ltd and Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG have been awarded the contract by Shell E&P Ireland Ltd for the construction of a 4.9km tunnel as part of the Corrib gas project, one of the largest energy infrastructure developments in Ireland in 2012. The tunnel, which will be constructed beneath an estuary on the north-west coast of Ireland, is a key element of the onshore pipeline works, which is the final phase of the Corrib project that remains to be completed. BAM Civil and Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau are Royal BAM Group operating companies.

12 June 2012 - A CO2e protocol assisting construction companies around the world to measure and report their carbon emissions has been launched today (Tuesday 12 June). ENCORD - the European Network of Construction Companies for Research and Development - says the protocol uses best practice and will ultimately encourage and enable the next steps for reducing carbon emissions from construction processes to be taken.

The campaign starts this week and will run until w/c 25 June. The posters will be placed inside every compartment of every train that will run on the Waterloo and City Line on an exclusive basis.
