First ship at fuel jetty Sierra Leona

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 27 March 2013 – The bulk carrier Gypsum Integrity (197 metres long and sailing under Bermuda flag) was the first ship that has been berthed at the new fuel unloading and layover facility in Pepel, Sierra Leone. The jetty has been built by BAM International and joint venture partner Stefanutti Stocks for African Minerals Ltd in only four months.

Primaries for Sheffield

Hemel Hempstead, 25 March 2013 - BAM Construction has been named preferred bidder for a £10 million contract to build two primary schools in Sheffield. The UK-wide contractor, which has offices in Leeds, will build the schools in Shirecliffe and Fir Vale for Sheffield City Council. Each school will have capacity for 420 pupils aged 4 to 11. They are being built to meet a rising demand for primary places in the city.

Aztec West development Bristol

Hemel Hempstead, 22 March 2013 - BAM Properties has secured a tenant for its 30,000 sq ft 930 Aztec West development in Bristol. The developer has let the three-storey building to digital media giant Nvidia on a ten-year lease at £18.50 per sq ft. It is the largest letting in Bristol this year.

Sports and arts buildings for Sunderland College

Hemel Hempstead, 16 March 2013 - BAM Construct UK has been appointed for an £11 million project to improve sports and arts facilities at Sunderland College. The contractor will demolish several buildings at the college’s Bede Campus and build a new sports centre and a new visual and performing arts building.

Hemel Hempstead, 12 March 2013 - BAM has secured a contract on a significant refurbishment project of the historic London college that trained celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. The contractor has secured the preconstruction agreement for Westminster Kingsway College’s Grade II listed Victoria Centre.

New Middle Row Primary School

Hemel Hempstead, 12 March 2013 - BAM Construct UK is to build a £9.6 million primary school in West London. The national contractor, which has offices in the capital, will build new premises for Middle Row Primary in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 7 March 2013 - Mr H. Scheffers will resign by rotation as a member of the Supervisory Board, in connection with the end of his term of appointment following the General Meeting on 24 April 2013. If the General Meeting does not make any other recommendations, the Supervisory Board intends to propose that Mr Scheffers be reappointed for a period of four years.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 1 March 2013 - CEI-De Meyer (a Belgian operating company of Royal BAM Group nv) has won two joint venture contracts with a total value of more than €85 million. The client is Infrabel, the Belgian railway infrastructure manager. The activities include civil engineering works at the north and south side of Mechelen’s rail station.
