Bunnik, The Netherlands, 30 May 2013 - BAM PPP PGGM Infrastructure Coöperatie (the joint venture between BAM PPP and the Dutch pension fund service provider PGGM) and OFI InfraVia today announce their acquisition of 50% and 25% respectively of the economic interests in the concession rights associated with the A8 A-model project (the ‘A8’) from BAM PPP (25%), Fluor Infrastructure (25%) and VolkerWessels Deutschland (25%). The final 25% remains held by Egis Investment Partners (19%) and Berger Bau (6%).

Multi-faith school project

Hemel Hempstead, 24 May 2013 - BAM Midlands and BAM Design are working from concept design to construction on a multi-faith secondary school in Birmingham. The early stages of construction are about to commence. The £8 million contract to create the 700-pupil Sikh-ethos Nishkam High School was won in competition.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 17 May 2013 - Further to the announcement of 24 April 2013 on the payment of Royal BAM Group nv final dividend for the 2012 financial year, the number of dividend rights providing an entitlement to one ordinary share of Royal BAM Group nv (the exchange ratio) has been set at 38.25.

Completion container terminal Monrovia

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 15 May 2013 - The president of the Republic of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, will officially open the APM Terminals facility, built by BAM, on 22 May 2013. BAM International completed the 600-metre quay wall in the capital city Monrovia for APM Terminals two weeks ahead of the contractual completion date.

Hemel Hemstead, 10 May 2013 - A year-long project to teach students about architecture and construction has given one year 9 pupil from Blackley in Manchester the opportunity to design and build a new outdoor teaching and break out area at their school. The Co-operative and BAM Construction launched the project last year with SCAPE, a teacher/architect team, as part of its community commitment and support for education following completion of The Co-operative’s brand new head office at 1 Angel Square in Manchester.

Morriston Hospital

Hemel Hempstead, 7 May 2013 - BAM Construct has won a £16 million project to build an office block at Morriston Hospital in Swansea. The contractor, which has offices in Cardiff, will build the 4,500 sq m administration office block through the Designed For Life Welsh health framework. It will take the total value of BAM work at the hospital to almost £80 million after previous projects to improve its infrastructure, extend and refurbish a specialist rehabilitation centre and add a three-storey new build extension.

(Press release West Dunbartonshire Council:) Dumbarton, 22 April 2013 - A topping out ceremony has been held to mark the completion of the exterior of the new £15.5 million Dumbarton Academy building. The final concrete plinth was laid on the roof of the school by Councillor Michelle Stewart, Convener of Education, Councillor David McBride, Convener of Housing, Environmental and Economic Development, Grant Robertson from the Scottish Futures Trust and Douglas Keillor, Regional Director from BAM Construction.

(Press release Stoford:) Bristol, 30 April 2013 - Midland property specialists Stoford celebrated reaching the highest point of a 62,275 sq ft office building for Simplyhealth with a ‘topping out’ ceremony on site in Clifton, Bristol. Des Benjamin, Chief Executive Officer of the national healthcare provider, laid a number of bricks on the sixth floor of the stunning Simplyhealth House headquarters which is scheduled for completion in November.
