Bunnik, the Netherlands, 30 August 2013 - Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau – the German civil engineering company of Royal BAM Group – has been awarded by public transport company Hamburger Hochbahn AG a contract for the construction of a 230 metre long loop to turn and park underground trains of the U-Bahn Line 4. The contract value is € 21 million. The project, near the underground station HafenCity, is to be conducted by cut-and-cover­­­­ tunneling and is part of the extension of the metro line U4.

Tralee Bypass

(Press release Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport:) Dublin, 16 August 2013 - Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Leo Varadkar TD today welcomed the official opening of the N22/N69 Tralee Bypass. The new scheme is 13.5 km in length and consists of dual and single carriageway sections.  Work began on the scheme in 2011 and the budget was €97 million.

Road works in Tanzania

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 26 August 2013 - BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside of Europe, has completed the rehabilitation of 220 kilometres of  the TANZAM Highway Road Rehabilitation Project, a main traffic artery in East Africa. It plays a major part in connecting the port and airport of Dar es Salaam to the Tanzanian inland an its neighbouring countries.

Construction firm confirms Britain’s corporate love-affair with cycling

Hemel Hempstead, 23 August 2013 - One of Britain’s largest design, construction and property firms - BAM - has confirmed Britain’s current love-affair with cycling as it prepares to send over 100 of its employees on a nine-leg 900-mile trip of the UK in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 23 August 2013 - If the general meeting of shareholders does not put forward any recommendations, the Supervisory Board intends to nominate Mr J.-P. Hansen for appointment to the Supervisory Board for a period of four years by the general meeting to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr A. Baar as member of the Supervisory Board. This proposal will be submitted to shareholders for approval at an extraordinary general meeting to be convened in the autumn of 2013.

Arena Regensburg

Regensburg, 8. August 2013 – „Stark, weiß-rot und rund“ – so charakterisiert Axel Eichholtz, Geschäftsführer von BAM Sports, die geplante Arena Regensburg. Am 8. August 2013 hat Oberbürgermeister Hans Schaidinger den Vertrag mit dem Generalübernehmer über die Planung und den Bau des neuen Fußballstadions samt Außenanlagen unterschrieben. Neben Vertretern des SSV Jahn, der das Stadion nutzen wird, war auch Architekt Dr. Stefan Nixdorf, agn Niederberghaus & Partner GmbH, anwesend, der interessierten Medienvertretern seine Pläne präsentierte.

New built jack-up barge

Gouda, the Netherlands, 16 August 2013 – The Australian joint venture BAM Clough has taken acceptance of its new built jack-up barge, IB-914, which departed China earlier this week. The new built process was concluded in less than a year’s time and the jack-up barge will be deployed in Australia on BAM Clough’s near shore projects portfolio. The jack-up barge has capacity for a 300 tons deck crane and will be capable of operating at 30 meters water depth.

Liverpool2 Container Terminal

Camberley / Liverpool, 7 August 2013 - A joint venture comprising BAM Nuttall and Van Oord has been awarded a contract valued at £75 million by Peel Ports as part of its £300 million scheme to create to new container terminal on the Mersey estuary in Liverpool. Once completed this new facility will accommodate some of the world’s largest container vessels, up to 13,500 TEU, two at a time. This new container terminal will be open for business in 2015.
