London Underground’s Victoria Station Upgrade

BAM Construction to begin work on Burton & South Derbyshire University Technical College

Hemel Hemstead, 20 October 2014 - BAM Construction is to build an £8.6 million University Technical College in the East Midlands. The contractor, which has offices in Derby, will deliver the Burton and South Derbyshire UTC (BSD UTC) with the refurbishment of an annexe at Burton Town Hall, in addition to the construction of a new building on adjacent land.

A bright future for successful ageing as sod turned on €48 million facility
  • Construction of Ireland’s first dedicated centre for successful ageing commences at St James’s Hospital with the provision of 60 construction jobs, increasing to 300 construction jobs
  • Minister Kathleen Lynch turns the sod at Mercer’s Institute for Successful Ageing new build

(Press release An Roinn Sláinte – Department of Health:) Dublin, 8 October 2014: Minister Kathleen Lynch attended the sod-turning of Mercer’s Institute for Successful Ageing (MISA), Ireland’s first dedicated centre for successful ageing today in St James’s Hospital. Responding to the need for innovation in the delivery of services to Ireland’s growing ageing population, MISA is the realisation of a vision to deliver a holistic approach to successful ageing with prevention, clinical care, research and teaching housed in one central facility.

BAM to convert police station into UTC

Hemel Hempstead, 7 October 2014 - BAM Construction is to convert a police building in Salisbury into a university technical college (UTC). The national contractor, which has offices in Bristol, has been selected to deliver South Wiltshire UTC through the national academies framework.
