BAM selected for £27 million Surrey school

Hemel Hempstead, 30 September 2014 - BAM Construction is lined up to build a £27 million school in Surrey. The contractor, which has offices across the UK, has been named preferred bidder for the new Rydens Enterprise School and Sixth Form College in Hersham.

BAM sells CONNECT110NS to Deutsche AWM

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 30 September 2014 - BAM Properties has sold its commercial property development CONNECT110NS in the heart of Glasgow’s premier commercial and retail district to Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (Deutsche AWM). The transaction was completed on Thursday 25 September for a purchase price of approximately £70 million.

The doubling was accomplished in only 16 months, meaning that it has been finished almost one year ahead of schedule.

Their joint venture is about to seek planning permission from Glasgow City Council.

Hemel Hempstead, 26 September 2014 - BAM Construction is to build a £9 million University Technical College (UTC) in Sandwell – it’s sixteenth UTC. The contractor will deliver the Health Futures UTC in the West Bromwich for sponsors including the University of Wolverhampton, West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Co-operative Pharmacy and 21 partner employers.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 25 September 2014 - BAM Nuttall Mott Macdonald Joint Venture, set up to deliver coastal and fluvial works under the WEM (Water and Environment Management) framework, has been awarded a contract valued at £23 million by Leeds City Council, which it procured using the EA’s WEM Framework procurement facility. The aim of the scheme is to provide 1 in 75 year flood protection for the city of Leeds with works extending for 4.3km from the city mainline railway station to just below Knostrop weir.

Gefell, Germany, 10 September 2014 – The Federal Motorway 9 (Bundesautobahn 9 or A9) is connecting Berlin and Munich via Leipzig and Nuremberg. Federal Transport Minister Alexander Dobrindt will officially open the last section of the road extension project of this major trans-European transport axe on Friday 5 September.

BAM commences its eleventh project so far at Argent's huge regeneration of Kings Cross

Hemel Hempstead, 2 September 2014 - BAM Construct UK is to work another historic project – it’s eleventh so far – within developer Argent’s mammoth King’s Cross site. The contractor has been awarded a contract on the refurbishment of the listed 19th century German Gymnasium within the central London development.
