Bunnik, the Netherlands, 27 November 2015 - The Municipality of The Hague will award BAM the contract for the design, construction and maintenance during fifteen years of the road project Rotterdamsebaan. This will be the new connecting road of approximately four kilometers length between the motorway at the Ypenburg interchange (A4/A13) and The Hague’s so-called Central Zone (Binckhorst-Centrum-Scheveningen). The contract value is over € 300 million. The construction will start in mid-2016. The first cars should be able to use the new road in the spring of 2020.

BAM wins new HQ contract

Glasgow/ Grangemouth, 25 November 2015 - BAM Construction has been appointed by INEOS as preferred bidder for its new headquarters on Inchyra Road. The project is part of INEOS’ ongoing development of its1,700 acre site in Grangemouth. The £17 million building, designed by Michael Laird Partnership, will have four storeys comprising 6,863 m2 in total.  Work has already started on site and is scheduled for completion in the final quarter of 2016.

Green light given for BAM Properties Leeds West End office development

Hemel Hempstead, 24 November 2015 - BAM Properties has secured planning permission for Latitude Yellow its £70 million office development in the West End of Leeds. The fully glazed contemporary ten-storey building with an impressive double height colonnade fronting Wellington Road will comprise157,000 sq ft of Grade A office space with floor plates of 16,759 sq ft. The basement will provide parking for 69 cars plus 92 bike spaces.  The scheme is initially being offered on a pre-let basis at a quoting rent of £24.00 per sq ft, which will allow early occupiers to influence the interior specifications and finishes of their space.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 19 November 2015 – For the sixth consecutive year, Royal BAM Group has been awarded with a top 20 position on the Transparency Benchmark (Transparantiebenchmark) of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, and has been declared one of the leaders by achieving a fifth place and a score of 193 out of 200 (2014: 192). BAM is the highest scoring construction company.

Consortium TramContractors reaches financial close on Antwerp tramline PPP project

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 19 November 2015 – The Flemish public transport operator De Lijn, the Flemish Roads and Traffics Agency, - and the City of Antwerp have granted in coordination with the Beheersmaatschappij Antwerpen Mobiel the contract for the construction of the PPP tram project Northern line, to the consortium TramContractors. Partners in this consortium are BAM-PGGM and Cofely Fabricom (ENGIE). The contract value is approximately €200 million.

Artists impression IQ Intelligent Quarters

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 19 November 2015 - BAM Deutschland AG (the German operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, specialising in building projects) has won the contract to build the office and apartment complex IQ Intelligent Quarters in Hamburg. BAM Deutschland will complete the complex by the end of 2017. The project developer is Joint Venture Strabag Real Estate / ECE Projektmanagement GmbH & Co. The contract value is over €68 million.

BAM Danmark wins design and build contract for European School in Copenhagen

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 17 November 2015 – BAM Danmark has won the design and build contract for the European school in Copenhagen. Client is project developer Carlsberg Byen P/S. The school is built on the site of the Danish brewer Carlsberg, which is completely redeveloped. The project has a contract value of over € 40 million.

The Clean Up Crew

Camberley, 9 November 2015 - Braving downpours and muddy conditions, team members from the BMB JV (BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall and Balfour Beatty) joined local residents, their colleagues from Tideway and volunteers from the charity Thames21 to literally get stuck in with a clean-up operation on the banks of the River Thames at Chiswick Eyot in West London last Friday (30 October). The event was organised by Thames21 which is running a citizen science project to improve understanding of what litter is in the River Thames and where it comes from.

ProRail and BAM sign contract rail track doubling project between Utrecht Central Station and Utrecht Leidsche Rijn

Utrecht, the Netherlands, 4 November 2015 - ProRail (the Dutch rail infrastructure manager) and BAM Infra have signed an agreement for the rail extension between Utrecht Leidsche Rijn and Utrecht Central Station. The doubling is the final part of the ‘VleuGel / Randstadspoor’ project. BAM will start the construction activities in mid 2016. The track will be available for passenger trains at the end of 2018. The contract value amounts to € 47.8 million.
