(Press release TII-Transport Infrastructure Ireland:) Dublin, 13 July 2015 - Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Pascal Donohoe TD, was this afternoon (Monday) joined by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Brendan Howlin TD, to officially open the N11 Arklow to Rathnew Upgrade scheme, which forms part of the €282 million N7 Newlands Cross/N11 Arklow to Rathnew Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.

Frankfurt am Main, 31. Juli 2015 - In München am 25. Juli 2015 wurde nach sechsjähriger Bauzeit der Tunnel Mittlerer Ring Süd West – Luise-Kiesselbach-Platz feierlich eröffnet. Oberbürger-meister Dieter Reiter gab den Straßentunnel symbolisch für den Verkehr frei. Baureferentin Rosemarie Hingerl und der bayerische Minister für Verkehr Joachim Herrmann nahmen an der Eröffnung teil. „Damit entschärfen wir einen zentralen Verkehrsknotenpunkt in München und entlasten die Anwohner ganz erheblich.“ betonte Hermann. Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG, Bereich Süd, erstellte den Tunnel als technischer Federführer in Arbeitsgemeinschaft im Auftrag der Landeshauptstadt München. Die Gesamtmaßnahme beinhaltete die Herstellung eines ca. 2.800 m langen, innerstädtischen Tunnels in Bohrpfahl-Deckel-Bauweise und offener Bauweise, sowie Kanal- und Straßenbauarbeiten.

Hemel Hempstead, 22 July 2015 - BAM FM has won a £135,000 deal to supply a range of services to South Wiltshire UTC in Salisbury. The company will provide cleaning, catering and grounds maintenance services for the university technical college, which will open in September. BAM FM will also look after mechanical and electrical maintenance, premises management and caretaking. Sister company BAM Construction is in charge of creating the building from a former police station.

(News release Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE):) London, 15 July 2015 - Tom Moore IEng MICE has received the Baroness Platt of Writtle Award 2015, presented by the Worshipful Company of Engineers, a prestigious annual national award recognising the achievements of a newly registered Incorporated Engineer (IEng). Tom was presented with a prize of £1000, a medal and certificate at the Annual Awards Dinner of the Worshipful Company of Engineers which took place on 14th July.

Hemel Hempstead, 7 July 2015 - BAM Construction is to build a new home for a village school that was badly flooded in 2008. The contractor, which has offices in Bristol, is to construct Countess Gytha School on higher ground in Queen Camel.

Hemel Hempstead, 6 July 2015 - BAM Construction has won a £9.3 million project to create the second University Technical College in Sheffield, for human sciences and computing. The contractor, which has offices in Leeds, will build UTC 2 Sheffield on the Olympic Legacy Park in Don Valley.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 25 June 2015 - The third and final phase of Birmingham’s Snowhill development – Three Snowhill – is expected to start on site in September after developer Ballymore Properties appointed BAM Construction as its preferred contractor.
