Mr E.A. (Eugene) Grüter

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 22 June 2015 - The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv has appointed Mr E.A. (Eugene) Grüter as managing director of the Dutch operating company BAM Bouw en Vastgoed with effect of 1 September 2015. Mr Grüter (56) is currently Business Line Director Buildings and member of the Executive Council at Royal HaskoningDHV.

Camberley, 12 June 2015 - The 14th June marks the formal contract completion for BAM Nuttall on the Borders Railway project and the date when the new railway transfers officially to the ScotRail Alliance team. To mark this major milestone and as a signature event in the company’s 150th Anniversary Celebrations, pupils and teachers from Stow Primary School in the Scottish Borders joined BAM’s project director, Nissar Mohammed at the new Stow Station.

Department for Education lays groundwork for move to Old Admiralty Building

Hemel Hempstead, 17 June 2015 - The Department for Education has announced the appointment of BAM as the main contractor to refurbish its new headquarters in Whitehall. The department is due to move into the Grade II listed Old Admiralty Building in Horseguards Parade in 2017, restoring and enhancing one of the Whitehall Estate’s most recognisable landmarks.

A1/28  joint venture (BAM, Van Oord) and partner ARCADIS win Rijkswaterstaat tender for Hoevelaken junction

(Translation of original press release of Rijkswaterstaat:) Utrecht, the Netherlands, 15 June 2015 - Rijkswaterstaat (Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management) has awarded the Hoevelaken junction project to the A1/28 joint venture. The A1/28 joint venture comprises the companies BAM and Van Oord, with consultancy and design agency ARCADIS as cooperating partner.

Hemel Hempstead, 15 June 12015 - The complex re-development of Tate St Ives is to be carried out by BAM Construction. The existing gallery is to undergo substantial two-phase re-modelling of its existing building’s learning and roof terrace areas. BAM will also create a new build 1,200 m2 extension situated  west of the gallery, and below the Barnoon car park. BAM will create a new gallery space for temporary exhibitions, as well improved art handling and additional visitor facilities. The new and existing building will be linked to allow visitors to move from one to the other.

Hemel Hempstead, 12 June 2015 - Park Community School’s new school building has only just opened and already it is winning awards – for its construction. The contractors behind the £18 million new facilities in Havant – BAM Construction – picked up its second prestigious Gold Award from the Considerate Contractors Scheme (CCS) this month, placing it among the UK’s 100 most considerate construction projects in the year.

BAM signs license agreements Xbloc applications in Costa Rica and in the Dominican Republic

New contract for BAM in Surabaya, Indonesia

Bunnik, the Netherlands,11 June 2015 – BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside of Europe, has been awarded the contract to build the greenfield Amcor packaging plant in Pasuruan, East Java, close to Surabaya. The contract value amounts to US$7.2 million (€6.5 million). BAM expects to deliver this project to Amcor in March 2016.

(Press release South Devon University Technical College:) Newton Abbot,  5 June 2015 - A ceremony has been held (Friday 5th June) in Newton Abbot to mark progress on the town’s new University Technical College. Anne Marie Morris MP, who was re-elected as MP for Newton Abbot, Ian Crews the Principal Designate of the new South Devon UTC and Professor Janice Kay, Provost Vice Chancellor of the University of Exeter performed a “topping out” of the £10.5 million new building. Ms Morris tightened a golden bolt on the four-storey UTC roof to signify BAM Construction having reached full height for the state-of-the-art specialist water engineering, science and environmental teaching facilities.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 3 June 2015 – BAM has been awarded two contracts in the French-speaking region of Belgium with a total contract value of €50 million. It concerns the structural framework of a hospital in Liege and the second phase of the construction of a ring road near Couvin.

Camberley, 3 June 2015 - One of the UK’s leading contractors has singled out several companies in the North West in its regional supply chain awards. BAM Construction – based in Salford - is behind signature structures such as the new National Graphene Institute, Manchester City’s Football Academy, and the Co-Operative Group HQ. Last week, at Manchester United, the firm handed out medals to firms for environmental and health and safety performance, quality, innovation, for subcontract manager of the year and overall regional contractor of the year.

Camberley, 29 May 2015 - BAM Nuttall is pleased to announce the recent project award by the Royal Mail Group to undertake the remediation of its former mail centre site at Nine Elms in South London. The site has been used by Royal Mail since the 1970’s and prior to that the 4.2ha site was part of the Nine Elms Gas Works, which was built in the latter part of the 19th century.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 28 May 2015 – In early May BAM announced its intention to sell its production facility for precast concrete elements in Zuidbroek (in the northern province of Groningen) to MBS Holding BV with effect from 1 June 2015. MBS has withdrawn from the transaction, because BAM cannot guarantee the revenue regarding future projects.

BAM Construction wins major contract for No.1 Spinningfields, Manchester

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 13 May 2015 - Award winning property developer Allied London has appointed BAM Construction to deliver its €100 million (£73 million) design and build contract for No.1 Spinningfields, the former Quay House, Quay Street, Manchester.

Hemel Hempstead, 13 May 2014 - BAM Construct UK has reported turnover for 2014 of £886 million (2013: £839 million), with a profit before tax of £6.6 million (2013: £10.9 million) at a margin of 0.8%. The forward order book is valued at £1.79 billion. The company deposited its 2014 report and accounts at Companies House this week.

The award of a grant of approximately €5 million is part of Horizon 2020, the leading European subsidy programme for research and innovation. BAM considers REnnovates the next step in the serial renovating of homes.

BAM wins contract for 110 metre high office tower in Frankfurt

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 7 May 2015 - BAM Deutschland AG (the German operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, specialising in general building projects) has acquired a contract for the construction of the 110 metre high office tower WINX in Frankfurt am Main. BAM Deutschland will complete the office turnkey for its client, project developer DIC Group, in the autumn of 2017.
