Jaguar Land Rover appoints contractor for multi-storey car park

Hemel Hempstead, 25 October 2016 - Jaguar Land Rover has appointed BAM Construction to deliver a new multi-storey car park on Kingsbury Road in Castle Bromwich, Birmingham. The circa 59,000 square metre structure will provide 2,764 spaces for staff and production vehicle parking. It replaces an existing surface car park. The car park will be handed over in multiple phases matching car production requirements in the adjacent facilities.

Hemel Hempstead, 4 October 2016 - Businesses in the North West reaped an economic harvest from construction work on the University of Salford’s New Adelphi Arts Centre, it has been revealed. The £55 million building was handed over by Salford based contractors BAM to the University of Salford and opened last month. 19 orders of more than £100,000 were placed within the north, with nine of these being in or around Manchester. Only eight orders of £100,000 were from outside the north of England, and all but one were within the UK.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 28 September 2016 – Interbuild nv – a Belgian operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, active in Flanders and Brussels for non-residential and residential projects – has won a contract to construct a multipurpose building in the station area of Bruges, Belgium. The client is Group GL and the contract value is €27 million.

David Packham

Hemel Hempstead, 30 September 2016 - A Sussex man has scooped a top accolade for his delicate restoration work on a historic UK building.

David Packham, who lives in Haywards Heath, helped to transform the listed German Gymnasium building in London’s Kings Cross from a crumbling Victorian structure, which secured him the construction industry’s Construction Manager of the Year Awards’ silver medal. The building is now occupied by the upmarket restauranteur D&D.

BAM Construct UK delivers improved profit in 2015

Hemel Hempstead, 23 August 2016 - BAM Construct UK earned a profit of £13m in 2015 on a turnover of £897.5m; achieving a margin of 1.4%, with improved cash and working capital position. The company entered 2016 with a forward order book of £1,723.5m. The company lodged its 2015 report and accounts in Companies House this week.

Weston College Academy building complete
