BAM’s contract with EDF signals a worldwide first for leading edge Gravity Base Foundation solutions

Camberley, 7 June 2016 - BAM has achieved a worldwide first having been awarded a contract to design, fabricate and install five full-size gravity base foundations for wind turbines off the Northumberland coast. The contract has been awarded to BAM by EDF Energy Renewables via SPV Blyth Offshore Demonstrator Ltd and utilises leading edge technology, the first of its kind to be built in the world.

Interbuild wins major contract for urban development project in Turnhout (Belgium)

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 6 June 2016 - Interbuild nv – an operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, active in Flanders and Brussels for non-residential and residential projects – has won the contract for the second phase of  the urban development project Turnova in Turnhout (east of Antwerp). The contract value is €40 million.

BAM wins contract for Frankfurt shopping centre

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 2 June 2016 - BAM Deutschland AG (the German operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, specialising in general building projects) has won a contract to construct the Upper Zeil shopping centre in Frankfurt. The contract value for BAM is more than €44 million. The client is property investor DC Values in joint venture with RFR Holding. BAM expects to complete the project in the autumn of 2018.

Hemel Hempstead, 1 June 2016 - South West contractor BAM Construction has scooped two major awards in the Michelmores South West Property Awards. The project teams celebrated after Chy Trevail, Cornwall Council’s offices at Bodmin, won Building of the Year, and South Devon UTC won Project of the Year over £7 million.

Two further contract successes for BAM Nuttall Mott MacDonald JV

Camberley, 25 May 2016 - Following on from contract awards including Leeds and Great Yarmouth the BAM Nuttall Mott MacDonald (BMM) JV has now picked up two further contracts through the WEM (Water and Environment Management) framework with the Environment Agency. These latest successes involve the delivery of the Exeter Flood Alleviation Scheme and the North Asset Recovery Programme.

BAM completes packaging plant in Indonesia

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 25 May 2016 – BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside of Europe, completed the construction of the greenfield Amcor packaging plant in Pasuruan, East Java, close to Surabaya. The contract value of this fast-track project is €6.5 million.

  • Civil engineering: positive result mainly from Germany and the UK
  • Investment sectors: strong quarter at both Property and PPP
  • Order book: quality improving; volume reduced by one cancellation and the weaker pound sterling
  • Strong cash flow reflecting continuing improvement in working capital
  • Outlook for full year 2016 unchanged
