Mai 2016 - Dass es sich beim Klinikum Frankfurt Höchst um ein stolzes Projekt handelt, belegen schon die ersten Zahlen: 4 miteinander verbundene Querriegelbauten, 6 Stockwerke, 78.900 m² Bruttogeschossfläche, davon 33.500 m² Nutzfläche, das schafft  Platz für 666 stationäre, davon 66 intensivmedizinisch überwachte Betten sowie 40 tagesklinische Plätze mit einer Versorgungskapazität von insgesamt allein 33.500 stationären Patienten jährlich. Doch darüber hinaus hat die Stadt Frankfurt am Main als Trägerin des Bauprojekts den Anspruch, das erste nach Passivhausstandards ausgerichtete Klinikum Europas zu errichten.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 28 April 2016 - Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau, the German tunnel specialist of Royal BAM Group, has been awarded the contract for the construction of a subway tunnel in Frankfurt. The two-kilometre double-track tunnel will be constructed in the city centre, in the new Gateway Gardens district. The contract value is approximately €220 million.

Hemel Hempstead, 19 April 2016 - Companies from Walsall, Great Barr, West Bromwich and Solihull have walked away with awards from one of the Midlands’s largest construction groups. The four firms were singled out for special praise by major Midlands contractor, BAM Construction, which has its regional HQ at Fore business park in Solihull and has an annual turnover above £100 million.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 18 April 2016 - South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust has appointed the GRAHAM-BAM Healthcare Partnership, a joint venture between GRAHAM Construction and BAM, to deliver Ulster Hospital’s new £95 million (approximately €120 million) Acute Services Block – currently the largest live healthcare project in Ireland.

Hemel Hempstead, 15 April 2016 - Plans for New College Doncaster, the town’s only sixth form college for 16-19 year olds, have taken a major step forward with the appointment of a main contractor. The New Collaborative Learning Trust, who will run the college, has appointed BAM Construction as its preferred bidder to deliver the sixth form college, sports hall, and a series of sports pitches, with a construction value of around £20 million. The appointment was made under the EFA’s contractors’ framework after a competitive process.

Hemel Hempstead, 15 April 2016 - Developer Town Centre Securities has appointed a contractor to deliver its refurbishment of the 1960s office building known as Merrion House in the north of Leeds. BAM Construction will deliver the complex remodelling and refurbishment of the office building which until recently was occupied by employees of Leeds City Council. BAM will also be responsible for fitting out the building.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 15 April 2016 - BAM Deutschland AG (the German operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, specialising in general building projects) has won a new contract in joint venture with Max Bögl Stiftung & Co. KG to build a hospital in Frankfurt Höchst. The contract value for BAM is more than €150 million. The six floor building has a total gross floor area of 79,000 sqm. BAM expects to complete the project in early 2019.

BAM to design and construct new mega cruise pier in Curaçao

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 14 April 2016 – BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside Europe, has won the contract to design and construct Mega Cruise Pier II in Curaçao. BAM International is a specialist near-shore product global constructor. The contract value amounts to US$29 million (€25 million). This project is part of the total development of US$43 million (€38 million) that Curaçao Ports Authority N.V. is realising with ‘Rif Seaport Curaçao’- Masterplan 2014-2016. The plan is of importance for the further growth of cruise tourism to Curaçao.

Hemel Hempstead, 15 March 2016 - The BAM Connislow JV, a developer set up to specialise in student accommodation, has started work on its second project at Stoddart Street in Newcastle. The North East division of BAM Construction started work on site in January on the £18.4 million development that will offer accommodation to 409 students.

BAM reconstructs traffic interchange in Luxembourg

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 15 March 2016 – BAM has won the contract for the reconstruction of intersection Dudelange-Burange on the A13 highway in Luxembourg. The client is the governmental agency Administration Ponts & Chaussées. The contract value is nearly €20 million. The project will take four years to complete. The construction activities will be carried out by BAM Lux in joint venture with Galère, the Walloon civil engineering company of BAM.

Wrexham, 4 March 2016 - Construction of Wrexham’s brand new Ambulance and Fire Services Resource Centre (AFSRC) has been completed. The Welsh Ambulance Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have jointly invested more than £15 million in the purpose-built facility, which includes an eight-bay fire station, a six-bay ambulance station and top-of-the-range training facilities.
