Artists impression Keble College

Hemel Hempstead, 4 March 2016 - New project takes BAM past £200 million of construction works in Oxfordshire over 12 years. One of the largest of Oxford University’s Colleges, Keble College, has appointed BAM Construction – the firm behind the new wing for the Ashmolean Museum – to commence a significant new build programme. The programme is valued at around £50 million and among the largest BAM has ever secured in the county.

Louise Williamson

Hemel Hempstead, 2 March 2016 - BAM Construct UK has appointed Louise Williamson as Managing Director of its facilities management business BAM FM. Louise joins BAM from Cofely where she was Key Accounts and Operations Director responsible for £350 million worth of contracts. Her previous experience includes being a Sector Director of Balfour Beatty Workplace, and roles in Birse Group: as MD of New Start Ventures and as Group Director Risk Management.

BAM Properties sells Stockport office investment for £12.39 million

Hemel Hempstead, 1 March 2016 - BAM Properties has sold its office investment St Peter’s Square, Wellington Road, Stockport to a South African investor for £12.39 million. The sale reflects a net initial yield of 7%.

Hemel Hempstead, 29 February 2016 - BAM is commencing a £28 million restoration of the Hayward Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room at London’s prestigious Southbank Centre. The suite of improvements forms part of the Southbank Centre’s ongoing programme of improving its public areas. More than six million people visit every year. Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios is the architect. Southbank Centre describes the works as ‘long overdue’, and the update will provide ‘world class facilities’.

Bantry Bay Port Company Appoints BAM Civil Ltd on Bantry Inner Harbour Development

(Press release Port of Cork:) Cork, Ireland, 9 February 2016 - Following a public tender process BAM Civil Ltd has been appointed as the main contractor by Bantry Bay Port Company to undertake the new Bantry Inner Harbour Development. This development marks the start of the regeneration of Bantry inner harbour which is in keeping with the total Inner Harbour Development scheme which was developed by the Bantry Bay Harbour Commissioners in 2012. With phase 1 of the project expected to cost in the region of €8.5 million, funding for the project has been made available from The Port of Cork Company, the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport and from previous funds carried over from Bantry Harbour Commissioners.

BAM Nuttall secures deck refurbishment contract for Tower Bridge

Camberley, February 2016 - BAM Nuttall has been awarded a design and build contract on an ECI basis by City of London Corporation to carry out an extensive deck refurbishment programme on Tower Bridge. Currently thorough site investigation work is underway to determine the exact condition of the bridge deck after which a detailed design programme will be worked up.

Composition Surpervisory Board and Executive Board

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 23 February 2016 – Following the Annual General Meeting on 20 April 2016 Mr H.L.J. Noy will be stepping down as a member of the Supervisory Board, in connection with the end of his four-year term of appointment. If the General Meeting does not make any other recommendations, the Supervisory Board intends, taking into account the enhanced recommendation of the central works council, to propose that Mr Noy be reappointed for another period of four years.

BAM wins two university contracts in Germany with total value of €145 million

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 23 February 2016 - BAM Deutschland AG (the German operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, specialising in general building projects) has acquired two contracts for university buildings in Düsseldorf and Cologne. In total the contract value is more than €145 million.

Major Sussex development deemed one of UK’s safest by inspectors

Hemel Hempstead, 17 February 2016 - A construction team working on a major redevelopment of the area around Haywards Heath station, which will provide a new Waitrose foodstore, has been given a very rare maximum score by independent inspectors, for their approach to site safety. BAM Construction achieved a 10/10 ranking from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS), ranking it beyond ‘exceptional’ and into the bracket of ‘innovative’.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 19 February 2016 – The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv has appointed R. Vollebregt MRICS as managing director of BAM Bouw en Vastgoed bv. Roel Vollebregt (54) is currently managing director of AM, the Dutch subsidiary of BAM for area and property development.

Breaking new ground in Fife

BAM chosen to build Daventry Hill School

Hemel Hempstead, 28 January 2016 - BAM Construction in the Midlands has been appointed as preferred bidder to design and build the Daventry Hill School. Daventry Hill School, will be a new co-educational all-through school for pupils with special educational needs in Daventry and it has been announced that the school will be built on land adjacent to the Daventry University Technical College on Ashby Road.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 26 January 2016 - BAM Infra Nederland bv has sold its water treatment activities, which formed part of BAM Infra Milieu, to SITA Remediation bv in Utrecht. The transaction refers to the employees, work in progress and plant and water treatment equipment.

Hemel Hempstead, 22 January 2016 - Fire crews were present on the North West Cambridge Development recently – but this wasn’t an emergency; it was a chance for advanced training. A tower crane being used by BAM Construction to develop parts of Eddington at the heart of the scheme was used for a recovery exercise. Firefighters from Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Cambridge crews climbed up static tower crane to perform the dummy rescue of a colleague.

Tata Technologies £20 million Warwick HQ commences with BAM as contractor

Hemel Hempstead, 20 January 2016 - Tata Technologies has appointed a contractor to develop its £20 million European headquarters in Leamington Spa, Warwick. BAM Construction is the global engineering services firm’s preferred contractor for the purpose-built state of the art headquarters at Tachbrook Park. The offices recently received planning permission from Warwick District Council.

BAM PPP-PGGM consortium reaches financial close on A94 Forstinning-Marktl in Germany

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 20 January 2015 – The project company Isentalautobahn GmbH & Co. KG, consisting of BAM-PGGM, Eiffage and Berger Bau, together with Autobahndirektion Südbayern (ABDSB) have reached financial close on the Availability Model A94 Forstinning-Marktl in Germany. The total project volume is around €1.1 billion.
