Bristol, 19 January 2016 - A Bristol construction company is celebrating 50 years of continuous operations in Bristol. BAM Construction opened an office in Queen Square in 1966 (it was originally known as Higgs and Hill) and celebrated its 25th anniversary in a marquee erected on the historic square. In 1996, it moved to its current location in Fox Den Road, Stoke Gifford.

Dutch Windwheel landmark

(Press release Windwheel Corporation:) Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 14 January 2016 - Eleven companies and research institutes have joined forces to start an innovation program for the development of the Dutch Windwheel, a 174 meter high icon to be built in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam. AM and BAM, Deltares, Dura Vermeer, ECN, Eneco, InnovationQuarter, Mammoet, SPIE, TNO and the Windwheel Corporation agreed on the program on Thursday, January 14th. These organizations will work together to ‘build the next economy today' and accelerate a transition to a clean, digital economy.

BAM renovates part of Kennedy Tower in Eindhoven for HERE

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 12 January 2016 - HERE, specialist in navigation and networking technology, awarded BAM with the contract for the renovation of the fifth to the twelfth floor of the Kennedy Tower in Eindhoven. BAM Bouw en Techniek Region South in Eindhoven has already started the construction.

Artists impression Enterprise Zone in Bristol

Hemel Hempstead, 8 January 2016 - The University of the West of England has appointed BAM to deliver a £16 million Enterprise Zone. The scheme is a refurbishment and remodelling of an existing 4,250 m2 building including an internal fit-out and M&E upgrades and installations.

Betonfabriek Vrijenban buys BAM’s concrete production facility Zuidbroek

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 5 January 2016 – BAM has sold the production facility for precast concrete elements to Betonfabriek Vrijenban. Betonfabriek Vrijenban is producer of high-tech precast concrete elements, retaining walls and concrete mortars and has already production plants in Delft and Vianen, both in the Netherlands.
