BAM in joint venture with NCC awarded major Swedish tunnel project

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 19 December 2017 – The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) has selected Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG – the German tunnelling specialist of Royal BAM Group nv –  in joint venture NCC (one of the leading companies in construction, infrastructure and property development in the Nordic region)  to build the 3.2 kilometre long Korsvägen phase of the West Link tunnel project in Gothenburg, Sweden.

ESFA and the Laurus Trust appoint a contractor for three new schools in North West of England

Hemel Hempstead, 15 December 2017 - The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), together with the Laurus Trust (a multi academy Trust), has selected a contractor to deliver three new schools based south of Manchester.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 15 December 2017 – The consortium consisting of BAM-PGGM and HABAU, has been appointed preferred bidder for the project Availability Model A10 / A24 AS Neuruppin to AD Pankow in Germany by DEGES GmbH. This publicly owned project management company is representing the Federal Republic of Germany. The A10 / A24 is the first of 11 projects of the so called ‘new generation’ wave of infrastructure PPP projects that was launched by the Ministry of Transport in 2015. The project is located near the German capital Berlin. Financial close is expected to be reached in February 2018.

BAM to deliver Visual Control Tower at Dublin Airport

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 8 December 2017 – The Irish Aviation Authority has awarded the construction of the new Visual Control Tower (VCT) at Dublin Airport to BAM Ireland, the Irish operating company of Royal BAM Group nv. The contract value is €27 million.

Green light for the Boston Barrier flood defence

5 December 2017 - The Environment Agency’s £100 million Boston Barrier – which will better protect more than 14,000 properties from tidal flooding – has been given the a green light by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), Michael Gove, and HM Treasury.

Schiphol, the Netherlands, 5 December 2017 - BAM Infra has been awarded the contract for the construction of the landside access roads for Amsterdam Airports Schiphol’s new terminal, including the rerouting and installing of all necessary utilities. BAM’s main activities are the relocation of all the cables and pipes in the area where the new terminal will be built, and the construction of new drop-off roads for the new terminal. BAM will embark on the project in January 2018, and the grounds are scheduled to be ready for the construction of the new terminal by July 2019.

Maastricht, the Netherlands, 28 November 2017 - Brightlands Chemelot has appointed BAM Bouw en Techniek to deliver two multi-tenant buildings on its campus in Sittard-Geleen, situated in the southeastern part of the Netherlands. BAM has already started with some engineering work. The construction will start in January 2018 and will take a year. The contract value is €26 million.

Ordsall Chord comes to a successful completion

BAM winner of 2017 Crystal Prize for most transparent annual report

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 22 November 2017 – Royal BAM Group is winner of the 2017 Crystal Prize, the award for the most transparent 2016 annual report. BAM was nominated together with Royal Schiphol Group, Siemens Nederland and energy network company Alliander, last year’s winner. The main trophy of the Transparency Benchmark is awarded for the 8th consecutive year.

Hemel Hempstead, 20 November 2017 - BAM Construction has been appointed to the high value lots – North and South – of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) Construction Framework. The lots apply to school buildings over £12 million with an anticipated value of £4 billion. The remaining framework value will be delivered in the mid and low-value lots for which BAM did not bid.
