New all-through school in Greenwich chooses contractor

Hemel Hempstead,  31 May, 2017 - The Royal Borough of Greenwich has chosen BAM Construction to build the all-through school St Mary Magdalene on the Greenwich peninsula. It will cater for up to 1,646 children from the age of three to the age of 19 and around 200 staff.

Management appointment at BAM Deutschland

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 30 May 2017 – The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv has appointed Dipl.-Ing. F.H. Schreiber as director (Vorstandsmitglied) of BAM Deutschland AG with effect from 1 June 2017. Frank Schreiber (1972) is currently director of BAM Swiss, the Group’s building subsidiary in Switzerland.

Studley / Hemel Hempstead, 26 May 2017 - Bourne Leisure Hotels has appointed a contractor for the works on Grade II* listed Studley Castle in Warwickshire. The leisure giant has chosen BAM Construction in the Midlands to refurbish and restore what will become the 14th hotel in the Bourne Holidays group, which includes renowned holiday brands Butlin’s, Haven and Warner.

One of UK’s most considerate contractors appointed to build Bannerdale School, Sheffield

Hemel Hempstead, 23 May 2017 - Sheffield City Council has appointed BAM Construction to build the new Mercia School on the Bannerdale site in south-west Sheffield. BAM, behind numerous structures in Yorkshire, has an outstanding record both in education and for being one of the UK’s most responsible contractors.

Dutch town to see a first in roadside solar power

Pijnacker-Nootdorp, the Netherlands, 5 May 2017 – Along the N470 road in the Dutch town of Pijnacker-Nootdorp (between Rotterdam and The Hague), BAM Infra is preparing to build a noise barrier with integrated solar cells that will generate 30 megawatt hours of electricity a year. The barrier, designed and built by BAM Infra, is the first to be built.
