A Green Deal for the Dutch Windwheel 2.0

In addition to the presentation, a Green Deal was signed at the World Trade Center in Rotterdam by Minister Kamp, Provincial Executive member Bom-Lemstra (province of Zuid-Holland) and Alderman Struijvenberg (municipality Rotterdam) which will increase the Dutch Windwheel’s chances of realisation.

Hemel Hempstead, 29 June 2017 - BAM Construct UK reported an improved performance in 2016, with profit, turnover and cash all up on the previous year. The company deposited its 2016 report and accounts at Companies House this week.

World record tunnel factory for the Fehmarnbelt tunnel

First animated film about the Fehmarnbelt tunnel factory released

(Press release Femern A/S:) Copenhagen, 22 June 2017 - The world's longest road and rail tunnel will require a factory that, in terms of its size, is set to be a record-breaker. The Fehmarnbelt immersed tunnel between Rødbyhavn in Denmark and Puttgarden in Germany will be 18 km long and built from 79 concrete elements and an additional 10 special elements equipped with lower basements for maintenance. Each tunnel element will weigh more than 70,000 tonnes. Each element will be about 217 metre long and about 40 metre wide. You can read more facts on the tunnel here.

Official opening of the A26 Frosses Road Dualling Scheme

Cloughmills, Northern Ireland, 12 June 2017 - The new £55 million A26 Dualling (Glarryford to A44) Scheme, built by the BAM McCann JV was offically opened on 12 June. The new 8 kilometre road, which is used by 18,000 motorists daily, includes a new roundabout at the Drones Road and three flyover junctions.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 7 June 2017 - The Luxembourg Building Agency has chosen BAM Lux (Royal BAM Group’s construction and civil engineering company in Luxembourg) to build the structural works for an agricultural education centre for 800 students in Gilsdorf, near Diekirch. The contract value is more than €14 million.

Delft, 1 June 2017 - On Thursday morning, and amid considerable interest, Minister Schultz van Haegen unveiled Europe’s first hyperloop test facility on the TU Delft campus. Hardt was founded as a company by a number of the winners from Elon Musk’s hyperloop competition earlier this year. Together with the European construction company BAM, they have built a 30-metre long test facility to test the technology for this futuristic transport system.
