Dutch town to see a first in roadside solar power

Pijnacker-Nootdorp, the Netherlands, 5 May 2017 – Along the N470 road in the Dutch town of Pijnacker-Nootdorp (between Rotterdam and The Hague), BAM Infra is preparing to build a noise barrier with integrated solar cells that will generate 30 megawatt hours of electricity a year. The barrier, designed and built by BAM Infra, is the first to be built.

Sheffield CBE for appointment to the Supervisory Board at an extraordinary general meeting on 24 August 2017 for a period which will end with the general meeting of shareholders in 2021. This nomination is related to the vacancy arising (as announced on 21 February 2017) from the retirement of Mr P.A.F.W. Elverding from the Supervisory Board for health reasons after the annual general meeting on 19 April 2017.

Hemel Hempstead, 6 April 2017 - One of the UK’s largest construction groups – BAM Construct UK – has appointed Ian Fleming as the regional director of its Salford-based North West Construction business. Mr Fleming was previously one of BAM’s construction directors and his promotion follows 17 years with the company, which operates from premises that it designed, developed, built and runs, at its Metro offices in Exchange Quays, Salford.

BAM wins train depot refurbishment schemes with Stadler UK

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 20 March 2017 – BAM has been awarded a contract by Stadler Rail Services UK to construct a train depot in Kirkdale and to refurbish to modern standards an existing depot in Birkenhead North. The depot works are due to be completed in 2019.

BAM secures Bolands Quay contract in Dublin

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 15 March 2017 – BAM Contractors Ltd, the Irish operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, has been awarded a contract for the construction of the Bolands Quay Development (formerly Boland’s Mill) in Dublin’s south docklands. The client is Bolands Quay Development Group.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 7 March 2017 – BAM Danmark has been awarded the design and build contract for a 7,300 sq m office building, Harild Hus. The client is project developer Carlsberg Byen P/S. The office will be built on the site of the Danish brewer Carlsberg, which is completely redeveloped. Harild Hus is situated near the European School project, which is currently under construction by BAM Danmark.
