£30 million construction scheme brings Preston man ‘back home’

Hemel Hempstead, 29 January 2018 - A former University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) student from Preston has had the unusual distinction of returning to his former place of learning – to help re-build it. Mark Hardisty, now a senior site manager with BAM Construction in Salford, has returned after ten years to work on the first phase of University’s £200 million masterplan, the Engineering Innovation Centre.

Boston Barrier tidal flood defence construction begins

(Thessa) Menssen MBA will step down as CFO and member of the Executive Board of the Company effective 1 July 2018. This decision has been reached by mutual agreement as the further implementation of the strategic agenda requires a different fulfillment of the CFO role. The process to find a successor has been started.

Hemel Hempstead, 16 January 2018 - The ESFA has appointed BAM Construction to deliver £16 million new teaching facilities for Helston Community College in Cornwall. BAM’s appointment follows a competitive procurement process. The scheme is funded through the regional priority school building programme of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) which managed the process.

Green light for Humber Flood Scheme

BAM appointed to deliver multipurpose Yas Arena in Abu Dhabi

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 2 January 2018 – Miral Asset Management has appointed BAM International – the operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, active outside Western Europe – to deliver the construction of an arena with a capacity of 18,000 seats. Yas Arena will be used to host events in a temperature controlled environment and is located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Work already started on 17 December 2017 and BAM expects to complete Yas Arena by November 2019.
