Senior appointment for BAM Construction

David Carson

Glasgow, 6 June 2018 - BAM Construction has appointed David Carson as the company’s Preconstruction Director for Scotland.

David Carson joined BAM as a trainee site clerk shortly after leaving school in 1984.  After a period in the surveying department he latterly specialised as a construction planner rising to become the Regional Planner for Scotland in 2011. David is an acknowledged industry expert in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the applications of BIM technology to planning and project management and delivery.

In his new role David Carson, who is based in the Stepps office, will be responsible for the management of all of BAM’s preconstruction activities including PPQ preparation and tender management while also leading the regions digital transformation journey.

He has driven our digital strategy in Scotland and he brings both years of experience from his planning and surveying background and a forward thinking, innovative approach to construction to this role.’
