BAM wins new building contract in Denmark

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 5 July 2018 – HOFOR (Greater Copenhagen Utilities) has awarded BAM Danmark the contract for the construction of their BIO4 - B14 Administration building in the eastern parts of Copenhagen. The contract value is approximately €12 million.

HOFOR has more than 1,100 employees, supplying 1.1 million customers in the Copenhagen metropolitan area with drinking water, district heating, district cooling, town gas and the disposal of wastewater. The project, designed by Gottlieb Paludan Architects. includes the construction of a building with three office floors (approximately 600 m2 each) and storage and service facilities of 2,200 m2 on the ground floor. Construction works will start in October 2018. BAM Danmark expects to hand-over the project to HOFOR in October 2019.

BAM Danmark was founded in 2014 by Royal BAM Group, and this project fits well into BAM Danmark’s project portfolio. Previous projects include an office building for the Department of Micro and Nanotechnology and construction of a biotechnology research center, both for the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The construction of the European school in Copenhagen (design and build) and the renovation and extension of the offices for the department of public works for the city of Helsingør are in progress.
