Seventh floor of City Law School building construction celebrated with topping out ceremony

As the building frame approaches the end of its construction, City’s President, Professor Sir Paul Curran says it is one of several important estate developments that will ‘serve to define the university we aim to be’.

(News release City, University of London:) London, 22 February 2019 - The topping out ceremony for the £65 million City Law School building took place on Tuesday 19th February. The construction project, undertaken by BAM Construction, stands at the corner of Sebastian Street and Goswell Road and is due to complete next year.

OpenIJ successfully renegotiates financing schedule with banking syndicate

BAM delivers 2018 outlook with adjusted pre-tax result of €153.2 million
  • Adjusted pre-tax margin of 2.1% despite the impact of sea lock IJmuiden project (OpenIJ)
  • Construction and Property: good result benefiting from Dutch residential property, UK and Ireland
  • Civil engineering: strong performance in UK and Ireland, mainly offset by the Netherlands
  • PPP: solid performance from the existing portfolio
  • Order book growth driven by multi-year projects with firm focus on tender discipline
  • Positive cash flow with strong inflow in second half 2018
  • Non cash impairments on Dutch regional property positions in Q3 and Dutch deferred tax asset in Q4

BAM plants 9,000 trees around Ireland as part of 150-year celebration

Kill, Co. Kildare, 15 February 2019 - Royal BAM Group commits to planting 150,000 trees worldwide this year to highlight sustainability agenda. BAM Ireland marked its international 150-year anniversary this weekend. Staff and their families were joined by ‘Trees on the Land’ as they volunteered to help plant, 9,000 trees at four locations across the island of Ireland.

BAM wins new design and build contract in Denmark

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 6 February 2019 – The municipality of Høje-Taastrup, twenty kilometers west of Copenhagen, has awarded BAM Danmark a design and build contract for a community school for the new urban expansion district, the suburb of Nærheden. The contract value is approximately €40 million.
