BAM wins third contract for Technical University of Denmark

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 16 May 2019 – The Danish Building and Property Agency has awarded BAM Danmark a design and build contract to deliver two new buildings (4.540 m2) and to refurbish two existing buildings (3.080 m2) for DTU Risø DPIV, Vind Energy research (the wind energy department of the Technical University of Denmark) on DTU Risø Campus, City of Roskilde. The contract value is approximately €16 million. BAM Danmark expects to complete the project in July 2021.

The project includes two new buildings for research laboratories and workshops, as well as two buildings which will be renovated for office use. Architects are CCO architects with Jesper Langvad architects and engineers Norconsult.

BAM Danmark was founded in 2014 by Royal BAM Group, and this project fits well in BAM Danmark’s project portfolio. The company currently employs 50 people. Previous projects include construction of an office building for the Department of Micro and Nanotechnology and a biotechnology research centre, both for DTU, the European school in Copenhagen (design and build) and offices for the department of public works for the city of Helsingør. Projects in progress include a mixed use commercial building in Carlsberg Byen and an office building with storage and service facilities for HOFOR (Greater Copenhagen Utilities).
