Dr. D. (Daniel) Häußermann (links) en Dipl.-Kfm. Johannes Koenen

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 14 August 2020 – The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv has appointed Dr. D. (Daniel) Häußermann as chief executive (Vorstandsvorsitzender) of BAM Deutschland AG, effective 1 October 2020. Daniel Häußermann (1974) is currently General Counsel of the leading international industrial services provider Bilfinger SE. He will succeed Jan Wierenga, who will step down as Vorstandsvorsitzender to head the implementation of improvement programmes at Group level.

Previously, Daniel Häußermann held various managerial positions within the construction and real estate industry. Between 2016 and 2019 he was member of the Management Board of Apleona Group, a leading European real estate and facility management company. As CEO, Daniel Häußermann was leading the Real Estate Management business and was responsible for the Apleona’s strategy and M&A activities. He is an experienced leader in businesses undergoing change and has a proven track record in implementing new strategies with a strong focus on business culture and people. Daniel Häußermann holds a PhD in law of University of Tübingen and an Executive MBA of Mannheim Business School.

Furthermore, the Executive Board has appointed Dipl.-Kfm. J. (Johannes) Koenen as finance director and member of the Vorstand of BAM Deutschland AG, effective 1 September 2020. Johannes Koenen (1981) is currently CFO and managing director of Bilfinger Infrastructure Mannheim. He will succeed finance director Wil de Kort, who will return to BAM Bouw en Vastgoed Nederland.

Johannes Koenen is an experienced CFO, with a background in the construction and industrial services industry. He started his career in auditing and fulfilled various financial positions (since 2012 at Bilfinger), building an excellent track record of managing business and financial risks for construction and EPC projects. Johannes Koenen holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics (Diplom-Kaufmann) of Saarland University.

As of 1 October 2020 the management of BAM Deutschland will consist of Dr. Daniel Häußermann (Vorstandsvorsitzender) and Dipl.-Kfm. Johannes Koenen (finance).
