Hemel Hempstead, 29 January 2021 - BAM Construction is to return to Middlesborough’s digital zone after being asked by Middlesbrough Council to create the new Boho X building. BAM will initially operate under a pre-construction services agreement working closely with the developer, Beijing Construction Engineering Group.

Major new hospital construction programme to get underway next month

Salford / Hemel Hempstead, 28 January 2021 - Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group, has appointed BAM Construction to build a new hospital to support its role as the major trauma centre for Greater Manchester.

Stone Lodge School is now making good progress on site following a pre-construction period. The team has already conducted ecological investigations, translocated wildlife and diverted public rights of way.

(Press release British Antarctic Survey:) London, 11 January 2021 - The next stage of building a scientific support facility in Antarctica begins this week [11 January 2020]. To avoid the risk of introducing COVID-19 to British Antarctic Survey’s Rothera Research Station, the construction team spent two weeks in quarantine and had three Covid-19 tests prior to making the almost 11,000 kilometre voyage by ship.

PPP consortium Poort van den Bosch transfers A59 Rosmalen-Geffen to the Dutch Province of North Brabant

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 6 January 2021 - The Poort van den Bosch consortium has transferred the A59 motorway between Rosmalen and Geffen to the province of North Brabant as of 31 December 2020. Rijkswaterstaat (part of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and responsible for the design, construction, management and maintenance of the main infrastructure facilities in the Netherlands) is now responsible for the management and maintenance of the road.

BAM wins design and build contract for new school in Kødbyen (Copenhagen)

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 6 January 2021 - The City of Copenhagen has awarded BAM Danmark a design and build contract for a community school in Kødbyen. Originally home to Copenhagen’s meat businesses, Kødbyen has changed into a lively and creative district with galleries, nightlife and restaurants. The contract value is approximately €37 million.
