BAM Nuttall awarded top place for the three highest value lots on north east regeneration framework

Camberley, 16 March 2021 - The North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO) framework allows organisations in the region to award civil engineering and infrastructure projects to contractors ranked, from 1-10, for each lot. This provides a quick route to market and reduces the need for lengthy procurement and tender processes.

BAM Nuttall has been awarded first place on three lots of work we bid for:

  • North East over £10 million,
  • National over £10 million and
  • National Single Source Supplier over £10 million.

The framework gives BAM Nuttall the opportunity to be directly awarded high-value construction work for both National and North East local authorities and government organisations.

Gareth Farrier, Divisional Director Scotland and Northern England at BAM Nuttall, said: ‘We are extremely excited to be working with NEPO to offer progressive procurement solutions across the country. And importantly in the North East where we have a long history of delivering projects and improvements within the local community. Through NEPO we will engage with customers to offer industry leading programme delivery, using our experience in innovation, digital construction and social value through our Enhancing Lives programme.’

This framework continues BAM Nuttall’s commitment to supporting investment and development across the North of England and support of the Northern Powerhouse project.

BAM has strong ties with the North, completing work on the Northern Hub, connecting all three of Manchester’s train stations for the first time, using the UK’s first asymmetric network arch bridge; Blyth Offshore Demonstrator, providing sustainable energy for 34,000 homes in Northumberland, using the world first float and submerge technique; and the M62 Smart Motorway scheme which relieved congestion on the busy commuter route between Manchester and Liverpool.
