BAM divides Dutch Construction and Property activities to strengthen market position

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 17 June 2021 – Effective 1 July 2021, Royal BAM Group nv will divide its operating company BAM Bouw en Vastgoed Nederland bv into BAM Bouw en Techniek bv, BAM Residential bv and BAM Specials bv. This transition has no implications for the employees.

This simplification of the organisation structure will further strengthen the already leading market position of BAM’s construction and property activities in the Netherlands. The new entities will work closely with clients to provide integrated and sustainable solutions. By focusing growth on  innovations, quality products and life cycle solutions, BAM is delivering on its new strategy 'Building a sustainable tomorrow'.

BAM Bouw en Techniek consists of the business units Building Services (Gebouwservices), Integrated Projects and Special Projects, and engineering consultancy BAM Advies & Engineering. BAM Bouw en Techniek generates an annual revenue of approximately €700 million with approximately 1,900 FTEs.

BAM Residential consists of the business units AM (property development), BAM Wonen (housing) and Homestudios. BAM Residential generates annual revenues of approximately €750 million with 875 employees (FTEs).

BAM Specials consists of several activities with specific expertise in different markets and includes the recently acquired Houtindustrie Stam & Landman bv / Gevelelementen Noord-Holland bv (prefabricated wooden facade elements). Per 1 July, this new operating company will also include the subsidiaries BAM Energie & Water and BAM Telecom which are currently part of BAM Infra Nederland; their total revenue in 2020 was approximately €300 million. Total annual revenues of BAM Specials amount to approximately €650 million, with more than 1,500 FTEs.

As of the same date, the Executive Board of Royal BAM Group has appointed a managing director for each of the three operating companies:

  • BAM Bouw en Techniek: A.P.H. (Peter) van Leeuwen;
  • BAM Residential: M.J.S.A. (Mario) Broos;
  • BAM Specials: W. (Willem) Otter.
