Bunnik, the Netherlands, 17 September 2024 – Joost Nelis, who has been a member of the Executive Committee of Royal BAM Group nv as Chief Operating Officer for the division Netherlands since 2019, has announced his intention to continue his career outside BAM. The Executive Board intends to appoint Carla Rodenburg-Verschuur, currently Executive Director of BAM Infra Nederland, as his successor. The appointment will be effectuated as soon as the advice of the central works council has been received.
The Executive Board is grateful to Joost Nelis for his commitment and contribution to BAM since his appointment in 1996. During that period, Joost Nelis has held various management positions, including director of BAM Wonen and director of BAM Bouw en Vastgoed.
Joost Nelis: 'After more than 25 years at BAM, I decided to take a new direction. I am immensely proud of what I have achieved with all my BAM colleagues. The first phase of BAM's strategy 'Building a sustainable tomorrow' has been successfully completed; the transformation to a sustainable company supported by digitalisation and industrialisation is in full swing. Carla Rodenburg will join the Executive Committee (as soon as the advice of the central works council has been received) in the position of Chief Operating Officer for the division Netherlands. She joined BAM in October 2020 as executive director of BAM Infra Nederland. After studying electrical engineering at Delft University of Technology, she worked as a strategic consultant for various multinational companies, including in the field of general management and business development.
The Executive Committee of Royal BAM Group will consist of Ruud Joosten (CEO), Frans den Houter (CFO), Carla Rodenburg (Chief Operating Officer division Netherlands), John Wilkinson (Chief Operating Officer division United Kingdom and Ireland) and Sabine van Hooijdonk-Verboom (Chief HR Officer).
