BAM takes strategic stake in Droneview
BAM Netherlands has acquired a strategic stake in Droneview, a leading Dutch provider of drone services for the built environment. BAM and Droneview have successfully collaborated for years on residential sustainability projects, using drones to map housing complexes faster, safer, and more accurately.
This move aligns with BAM’s ambition to accelerate digitalisation. Drone technology enhances labour productivity and partly addresses the shortage of technically skilled workers. Through this investment, BAM secures access to crucial technology and capacity to carry out housing sustainability projects more efficiently.
Drone Services: scarce but essential for renovations
An estimated 2.5 million homes in the Netherlands will be renovated and made more sustainable by 2030. Drones are increasingly deployed in these projects, driving strong demand for such services and creating scarcity. The partnership with Droneview enables BAM to scale up more quickly and respond even better to the growing market for housing renovation and sustainability. Drone scans are also being used more broadly within BAM, including infrastructure projects.
Droneview provides end-to-end support, from drone flights and inspections to data processing, 3D modelling, and digital delivery via an advanced online client portal. The company conducts drone inspections of homes, commercial buildings, bridges, and other structures, delivering precise three-dimensional models for design and execution. BAM is currently a major client of Droneview’s services, alongside municipalities and clients in real estate, infrastructure, and engineering.
Droneview to remain independent
Founded in 2012, Droneview employs seven staff members and works with a flexible network of specialists. The company is among the most technologically advanced drone service providers in the Netherlands. Following BAM’s investment, Droneview will continue to operate independently. No financial details will be disclosed.
