Luurt van der Ploeg appointed as Finance Director at BAM Netherlands Division
The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv has appointed Luurt van der Ploeg as Executive Director Finance for the BAM Netherlands division effective 1 February 2026. Luurt will succeed Bart Meussen who will leave BAM to pursue new opportunities outside the company.
The Executive Board is grateful to Bart Meussen for his commitment and contribution to BAM since he started in 2019. Bart first served as Executive Director Group Control and, from 2022 onward, as Executive Director Finance for BAM Netherlands.
Meussen: 'After almost seven years at BAM, I decided to take a new direction. I am proud of what we have achieved. The company is in good shape, so much different than a few years ago. The effort we took in maturing the Finance function is clearly paying off these days. I would like to thank my colleagues for all their support and cooperation during this period. I wish Luurt all the best in his new role.'
Luurt has a proven track record in financial leadership. With Finance and Business Administration degrees from Groningen University, the started as an EY auditor and has since held executive positions including CEO and CFO at Vesteda, CFO at VolkerWessels Construction and Real Estate Development, and is now CFO and COO at 4PS Group. His strong finance background and leadership in construction and real estate position him to lead BAM Netherlands' next stage of growth.
Luurt will join the BAM Netherlands Divisional Leadership Team and report directly to Henri de Pater, Chief Financial Officer of Royal BAM Group.
