Start of construction of bicycle service point at Schiphol North bus station
Cycling to Schiphol and got a flat tyre or need a coffee break? From spring 2026, cyclists will be able to visit the new bicycle service point at the bus station at Schiphol North. Here they will find everything under one roof: bicycle repairs, maintenance, advice and a place to warm up or have a cup of coffee. This will make cycling an even more attractive and sustainable alternative for Schiphol employees and visitors.
Bicycle service point contributes to healthy mobility
We developed the Bicycle Service Point in collaboration with the Amsterdam Transport Region and Schiphol. The arrival of the service point creates a central facility that connects seamlessly with bus connections and cycle routes. The service point thus contributes to Schiphol as a so-called multimodal hub, where more sustainable, healthy mobility plays an important role.
The go-ahead for construction was given by Patricia Vitalis of Schiphol, Alderman Marja Ruigrok of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, and Bart-Jan Freriks and Sandra van der Lee of BAM, among others.
