BAM to focus on Danish non-residential construction market with BAM Danmark

Bunnik, 4 March 2014 – Royal BAM Group nv has founded BAM Danmark. Via this subsidiary, established in Copenhagen, BAM explores the opportunities for the Group to establish a permanent branch office on the Danish non-residential construction market. BAM Danmark is currently tendering for the construction of an office in Copenhagen.

BAM Danmark is led by Bo Svendsen who has acquired broad experience with various renowned construction companies, most recently as deputy director with E. Pihl & Søn A.S. In addition to Mr Svendsen, J. Kempkens (director BAM Utiliteitsbouw) and A.P.H. van Leeuwen (director BAM Utiliteitsbouw Major Projects) are members of BAM Danmark’s management board.

Up until now, BAM has only had an incidental presence in Denmark on the basis of infrastructure-related projects. In the mid-nineties, the Group was involved in the construction of the Great Belt Bridge and currently BAM is testing the possibility of using an innovative beach replenishment method (Ecobeach) with a Danish partner.
