BAM Utiliteitsbouw: proposed takeover of engineering consultancy Triplan

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 31 October 2008 - BAM Utiliteitsbouw bv and engineering consultancy Triplan raadgevend ingenieurs bv in Hilversum, the Netherlands have reached agreement about a proposed takeover of Triplan by BAM.

Triplan has an annual turnover of around €2 million and employs twenty people. Since the firm was founded in 1988, Triplan has been advising clients on developing new construction projects and renovating existing construction projects, as well as on operating and managing property. The firm provides services in the fields of architecture, electrical contracting and project management for clients in the service sector, government bodies and banks. It also specialises in the design and development of audiovisual business premises, such as radio and television studios.

The proposed takeover will enhance the expertise of BAM Advies & Engineering, the engineering department of BAM Utiliteitsbouw. Employing around one hundred people, BAM Advies & Engineering provides advice, management, design and engineering expertise for general construction programmes, for the benefit of the Group's own projects and for those of third parties.
