BAM wins new building contract in Denmark

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 7 December 2016 – BAM Danmark has won the contract for the renovation and extension of the offices for the department of public works for the city of Helsingør (‘Forsyning Helsingør Nyt Driftscenter’), situated 30 kilometers north of Copenhagen. The contract value is approximately € 16 million.

The project includes the construction of a main office building of 4,700 m2, as well as workshops, car parking and storage facilities of approximately 1,300 m2. Architects are Christensen & Co. Construction works will start this month. BAM Danmark expects to hand-over the project to the city of Helsingør in the autumn of 2018.

BAM Danmark was founded in 2014 by Royal BAM Group, and this project fits well into BAM Danmark’s project portfolio. Previous projects include an office building for the Department of Micro and Nanotechnology and construction of a biotechnology research center, both for the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The construction of the European school in Copenhagen (design and build) is in progress.
