Closing the ring

Ascon, BAM’s Irish operating company, is making good progress at the M50 South Eastern Motorway, which forms the final part of the M50 Dublin Ring Road. The project includes the provision of a dual carriageway motorway of approximately 9.5 km, the construction of fourteen bridges and other structures and the construction of four major interchanges.

The South Eastern Motorway not only provides the missing link in the C-ring motorway around Dublin, but will also improve access to the Dublin Airport and the ports of Dublin and Rosslare, as well as access to the seven national routes which radiate from the M50 ring road. Ascon will complete the 127 million-euro project mid 2005.
