Dredging work in Port of Dar es Salaam

Ballast Ham Dredging has begun a dredging project in the Port of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. The navigation channel is being deepened and straightened to give larger ships access to the port.

Ballast Ham Dredging will be removing 200,000 m3 of sand and coral in connection with the work. The navigation lights marking the channel are also being upgraded. The project, with a contract value of €3.6 million, is due for completion in September.
