HBG awarded €16 million contract for refurbishment of shopping centre in Doncaster

Colindale, London, 3 February 2005 – HBG has been awarded a contract in excess of €16 million (£11 million) for the refurbishment of Frenchgate shopping centre, Doncaster, for client Teesland Property Company (Northern) Ltd. The project involves a major refurbishment of the common areas of the Frenchgate Centre which currently covers approximately 40,900sq m of retail trading space over the ground and first floor. Works will include new covering to the external facades, together with lighting and signage as well as a new glass enclosure to the existing lifts.

Other parties include Architect Price McNiven Partnership and Quantity Surveyor Burnley Wilson Fish.

The centre will remain trading throughout with most of the works been carried out on nights. This part of the project is due for completion in November 2005.
