HBG Construction awarded £13 million design and construct contract

This £13 million project, which is the latest in a series of five buildings constructed at GreenPark by HBG Construction since 1998, will represent the first phase of amenities on the park and will include a new landscaped ‘public’ square with water feature.

The office building, which is to be a multi-tenanted, will include some retail units on the ground floor.  Consisting of ground and two floors with a total area of 5,970 sq.m, this building will be constructed with a steel frame and glass curtain walling. The two-storey health club, which has been pre-let to Cannons Health & Fitness and a single-storey crèche facility, pre-let to Jigsaw, totals 3,818 sq.m; the former having concrete and steel frame, the latter timber. Starting in May 2001, the project is due for completion in phased handovers, up to August 2002.

HBG Design will undertake detailed design of the M&E involved, whilst the architect is Tate & Hindle Design and quantity surveyor is Gardiner & Theobald.
